I want to see this. It looks fun. I skipped a lot of the Marvel movies lately because the heroes looked boring, Ant Man, Doctor Strange, Guardians, etc.
Who's gonna drive you there?

All of us know in our hearts that Bob Iger of Disney and Isaac Perlmutter of Marvel are directly targeting black audiences for Black Panther, just to make more money. And just what does this audiece get back, beyond some sort of cheap symbolic victory?

Sign the petition so that black communities can get a fair share, a mere 25%, of the gross profits from this film.

And Disney - let's not forget about the black communities in Africa. How can they compete in technology if they don't have their own free showings of the black Star Wars?

Sign the petition, so that all the nations of Africa can watch Black Panther for free. And please note that Disney needs to pay for this from their 75% share of the gross profits from the film.

Everything has to get ruined by it becoming all about race.

"They want the one thing that the black community has to offer in abundance - black dollars".

Make no mistake, this movie will be CITIZEN KANE to the "WE WUZ KANGS!!" crowd.

I'm Biv Dick Black, the Over Poster.
The audiences for the opening week are going to be surreal.

Well, at least the afternoon showings.

The body count from the opening weekend will be even more interesting than the box office.

From what I heard about the movie, Wakanda is a highly advanced utopia because its all black and resisted and fought against white settlers. From whats currently going on in South Africa that kind of propaganda would probably make the situation in South Africa worse than it already is.

And I predict there will be a lot of people naming their kids Wakanda.

From what I heard about the movie, a guy in a cat costume beats up another guy in a cat costume.

I was under the impression we weren't allowed to talk about the
movie til it was out in theaters for 2 weeks at minimum.

98%. Do we have another situation like Get Out where people are just giving positive reviews for fear of being called racist like that one Irish reviewer? Get Out was a fine film, but it wasn’t 99% great.

Welcome to the party, pal!

I believe that Black Panther will receive the highest critic score of any MCU film, and possibly any comic book film. There's no denying this film will get some goodwill from critics based as much or more on what it is. Marvel will launch an Oscar campaign for it and we can all point and laugh the way we did at WB for it's Wonder Woman campaign.

I mean, just look at what the current number one film is:

https://editorial.rottentomatoes.com/guide/50-best-superhero-movies-of-all-time/3/

Without their silly adjustment, I believe The Dark Knight is the actual number one with 94%, 8.6/10. I think BP will beat the Tomatometer, but not the critic's score out of 10. I expect it to be something like 98%, 8.1/10.

And no, of course it won't be as good as Ragnarok.

Ant Man is probably the movie that exposed how bad Marvel's villain problem really was, and the RT score reflects that I think. They've taken steps to fix that in every Marvel film since, although Black Panther definitely looks like a step backwards

When you see a review like these I get nervous.

I liked it. Interesting message.

Was surprised to see stealth criticism of American "gangsta" culture as the symbol of the villain, from the way he spoke, to the music that played during his stuff. Also surprising to see the Black Liberation postcolonial narrative be the bad guys' stance.

That casino sequence long take was pretty damn cool. Andy Serkis was amazing.

Not that surprising.

Africans don't like American blacks.
