You’ve probably heard the story by now. Not that I really give a shit about Kelly’s NBC Show, but I find this whole flap confusing and infuriating. Another thing I can’t stand about the left, the refusal to make any distinction between two very different things. The way I always understood it was that Blackface/Minstrel Show was a routine that actually was to stereotype black features. Al Jolson, Ted Danson (how is he not now blacklisted for what he did?), that was Blackface. Maybe I’m old fashioned but can someone actually explain to me what’s so offensive about a white person using some brown makeup to sincerely and non offesibly resemble a figure they they like? I bet the left can’t do it. So a white kid who actually wants to dress as Obama, or Black Panther for Halloween can’t do it? I also guaranteee this is an issue that only about 0.01 percent of black people actually give a shit about. Just like about 0.01 percent of them actually cared about Confederate statues. Just like about 0.01 percent of Natice Americans actually cared about Washington’s NFL team being named the Redskins.

Insiders say Megyn Kelly's days on 'Today' are numbered
’s time on “Today” could be coming to an end by December, TV insiders told Page Six — and her fate may have been sealed before her current scandal, in which

Multiple sources told us that NBC could pull the plug on “Megyn Kelly Today” by year’s end. Talk of the move was growing before this week, when Kelly wondered why “you get in trouble if you . . . put on blackface.”

She’s halfway through a three-year contract, at $20 million a year.

A source said that with this gaffe, NBC could just “let Kelly hang out to dry.”

Another source wondered, “Is NBC enjoying Megyn’s latest self-inflicted wounds?”

The network covered her offensive comments on both “NBC Nightly News” and “Today,” and the issue was included in a “Late Night With Seth Meyers” monologue.

We hear that Kelly met with her staff on Wednesday after apologizing on-air.

And NBC News boss Andy Lack addressed the issue at a previously scheduled town hall meeting.

“There is no other way to put this, but I condemn those remarks,” we hear he told staffers. “There is no place on our air or in this workplace for them. Very unfortunate.”

He added, “I think that ‘Nightly’ covered the story well … appropriately so,” and that the “Today” “team did an excellent job covering it properly … That is the ‘Today’ show and ‘Nightly’ at their very best.”

As far as where Kelly could land, sources told us her team is contractually not allowed to talk to rival networks — but that there have been “informal reach-outs” and Kelly “misses news.”

Kelly said on her show of costumes that use blackface: “Back when I was a kid, that was OK as long as you were dressing up as a character.”

She’s courted controversy throughout her year on-air at NBC.

She’s also ruffled feathers within the company, calling for an outside investigation into the network’s axing of Ronan Farrow’s exposé on Harvey Weinstein, and booking a former “Today” staffer who allegedly had an affair with Matt Lauer.

Reps didn’t comment.

You mean the Megyn Kelly who had a cushy job at Fox News but decided that she wanted to get some nice pictorials and profile pieces in mainstream publications so she suddenly sold out by attacking Trump and pandering to liberals?

THAT Megyn Kelly?

My heart bleeds for her.

Yeah that one. Again I really don't give a rat's ass about Kelly. I'm more interested in the issue itself. I want an actual, cogent reason why it's so offensive to put some brown makeup to dress up as specific person assuming no actual offensive is meant by it. I doubt I'll get it here, but I'm not going anywhere near Facebook with this one.

They'll never forgive her for being a Fox Nazi... never. They were just looking for a reason to burn her at the stake, and the weakass blackface bullshit is good enough.

Maybe her show just sucks and this is an easy way out of her contract.

She had massive ratings when she was on Fox. There were times when her show did bigger audiences than MSNBC... yes, the entire network.

But then 2016 happened, and she got a touch of the salt poisoning, and then it was a downhill slide to where she is today... her show just sucks, and this is an easy excuse to fire her.

Can you remind us what happened in 2016? Did something happen or something?

Maybe this was her version of announcing that the mayor died so she could get out of there.

Well, she’s officially out. Again, I don’t really care about the show being gone and it probably was this incident that gave NBC the final excuse to get rid of her. I do find the circumstances troubling though. From what I understand it was a discussion and all she said that in her past life experience was that it was never a big deal to put on brown makeup to portray a black character or celebrity for Halloween. So now people get fired for commenting on their own experience? What’s next, getting fired for saying you once got mugged and the person who did it was black (and that’s not even hyperbole, I am certain the answer to that question would be a resounding “yes”).

And to anyone who truly desires racial harmony (as opposed to the people who only pretend they do). This is why we will never truly get there. We can’t even have DISCUSSIONS about race without people losing their minds and fucking up people’s lives. It’s another indicator how fucked in the head society is today.

Are we only talking about people who are currently living. If not, does that mean Trump has officially surpassed Hitler?!!

Because they don't want racial harmony and equality. There will never be honest discussions.

Yup...she was a target right from the start, no matter how anti-Trump she tried to be. She was the former darling of evil Fox News during the Obama years, who spoke out against the progressive movement. That's unforgivable.

They first wanted her fired for asking a gay man if he turned gay because he liked to watch Will and Grace. Then, she tried to talk to Jane Fonda about her plastic surgery. A lefty host could easily get away with asking those questions. But not her. Her show was so awkward and it almost seemed like it was intentionally that way. She was never going to cater to the left, and she alienated the right. Not a good move.

Exactly, the last thing leftists in power want is racial harmony. Most of us here know that. Without racial strife, the left completely loses its power base. They sow the seeds of conflict, blame the inevitable results on republicans or the police or ICE and say “keep voting democrat and all your wildest dreams will come true”. Christ, Obama did this on multiple occasions, right in front of our eyes, completely non-surreptitiously. Can you imagine if tomorrow a white guy shot a black kid under dubious circumstances (and make no mistake, the Zimmerman circumstances were not dubious at all, but sake of argument.) and Trump made a public, televised, sympathetic comment about the white guy. End of the world!

I never thought that Trump was genuinely angry at her. It seemed like a strategy. He knew those questions were coming and made an exaggerated example out of her. After he smacked her around, his numbers went up. Then, as the general election rolled around, he made up with her and she dropped her bullshit.
