I haven't played a sports game in a looooong time.
Never mind. Read some reviews. Oof, the show it is.
I am enjoying the MLB 13 The Show. Kinda annoyed that I can't call up players from Double A.
Maybe some day i will be a big boy and get off beginner controls. Of course, I still haven't figured out all the beginner controls.
I'm probably picking up The Show tomorrow or Sunday. I'll be on beginner controls myself. Are we friends on PSN?
I play the show, kind of quit my season and just play random exhibition games. I use rookie batting and timing. I can't fuck with pro and zone hitting. I am terrible.
Starting to use metered pitching. You can do some sick shit when you are not putting the ball in the dirt.
This game is so fucking addicting. Not much time to play? Boot up your season, toss a couple innings, save and go.
Moved one of my relievers into the starter role. Dude is sick.
Ackley is batting .143 in real life, over .500 on my game. Game>real life.
The Show > MLB 2K
That said, I hate the new hitting aspects with the "Guess Pitch". I think I mentioned it in the other thread.
You used to be able to guess a pitch, and location, and if you were right on either it showed up.
Now you have to get BOTH right. It makes it harder...
But, it's my favorite video game.
I so suck at being able to tell if it's going to be in the strike zone. My batting is still kinda spray and pray.
I'm always tempted to get a baseball game. If only I had more time.
Wait... You can save within a game during your season? That may be push me to hit "add to cart" on AMZN today.
Well I bought it. Struggled with the glowing orb pitching so I switched to meter and it is much easier. Couldn't hit worth shit. I had probably 5-6 just pathetic dribblers to the pitcher.
I did start a Road to the Show with a pitcher. First at bat: gave up a HR. 5 ER in 5 innings. Second start: CG shutout. 7 hits, 13K. Maybe I got pitching down.
Close up view while batting seems to help quite a bit.
