Downhill mountain biking champion Gee Atherton gets tested in the ultimate experiment between man and bird, by being hunted by the fastest bird in the world, a peregrine falcon, in the epic landscape of Antur Stiniog, North Wales.

The experiment was filmed in association with Redbull and BBC Earth Unplugged and it required nine cameras to document the unique sequence. Here's the footage from the birdcam:

All are welcome
There's a lot of editing going on there. Sometimes he has the pack and sometimes he doesn't. Regardless, I give him credit for racing down that hill however many times with a big bird swooping in on him.

it's a man, baby!!!
it looks like the bird struck hard enough to kill whatever it was supposed to be right off the bat.

but couldn't get a good grip till later.

they need to try the same thing with a R/C car that would more simulate something in real life that bird is used to catching

What's black and white and red all over?
Peregrines hunt aerial targets, not ground dwellers. You know, like lead weights going 242 mph...
