I think my logitech wireless mouse this one to be exact, is starting to fail.

I have had it since the start of 2011 I had no problems with it until a few weeks ago. When you click the scroll wheel it opens a new tab in your browser or opens a program. It used to be where all I had to do is tap it and it would do it's thing. Now I have to click it multiple time and press super hard on the scroll wheel to get it to work. Anyone know how I can fix this?

Using Logitech drivers? Try uninstalling them and see if it works with windows drivers. If it does, try reinstalling Logitech. If not, maybe go shopping.

Planned obsolescence. Or you just end up smashing it from sheer frustration.

Could it be a browser issue? I noticed right after the latest fire fox update it started happening.

It's got a 3-year warranty. So, before you start fucking around with it...
Sir, I don't know where that shit went. I probably threw it out when I was moving out of my apartment in Pittsburgh.

I use the $8 wireless mouse from Wal Mart. If it dies, who gives a shit? I just get a new one.

Took the bitch apart a few minuets ago, the plastic contact pad is worn down. Looks like I'll be ordering a new mouse tomorrow.

logitech's customer service is excellent. just contact them and tell them that you need your mouse fixed. i've had several things repaired or replaced by them and it was a painless process.

Maybe you should stay out of the Kirk threads if you can't refrain from abusing your equipment. :action-sm
Funny thing is that my other logitec mouse that I had before this one lasted years. I dropped that thing on a cement floor at least once a week and it still ran. The only reason I had to replace that other mouse was because of me accidentally bending the transmitter. Those old long usb tansmitters were stupidly designed.
