I download music off youtube fair often, so there's my video. I want to suck the audio off it and lob it on my PSP, so I need a stable audio cutter. Used to use Power Audio Cutter (http://download.cnet.com/Power-Audio-Cutter/3000-2140_4-10767926.html), but it's shit the bed lately on videos I try to gleam the audio off of.

Anyone have a bead on one that works well? Not having much luck with those found. Tried 4-5 different programs and they all give an error on what I need work on.

Most people will recommend Audacity though I've always stuck with Goldwave, you'd need to install a directshow codec to play around with mp4 and flv

I will warn you that I read a recent article that said that Google may start to target YouTube downloaders. The major download sites no longer accept new applications and I can only assume it's a matter of time before they've deleted what they already have. I love DownloadHelper for Firefox myself as it snags videos from tons of different sites.

You have no trouble downloading stuff illegally. Just get Adobe Audition and be done with it.
