You probably wake up to Howard Stern — but do you want to go to sleep with him, too?
Over the weekend, word broke that Jay Leno is being pushed out to make room for the younger Jimmy Fallon — but sources close to the radio man tell The Post that Stern, in turn, is being “groomed” by NBC as the new Fallon.

Right. Because that's who you want as your hip, young host for the late night crowd- a 60 year old. Not to mention, do you think Howard's ego would really let him be second banana to Fallon?

So NBC wants a talk show host that would do fewer new shows per month than Saturday Night Live?

His show blew on Channel 9. They ended up just showing clips from the radio show after like 5 shows.

That old woman would be a better fit on The View.

They will never let Howard do the kind of show that will keep people watching. The E Show was good but his prime was the old Channel 9 show.

I think O&A called it right. This is Howards publicity machine creating rumors to get his name mentioned. It doesn't matter if it's complete bullshit. As long as people are talking about it then it was a success.

There's zero logic to that, especially considering the kind of money he'd want.

Will this be before or after the release of "Rock and Roll High School"? Goddammn movie has been in post-production for 15 years!

I hope he does it and leaves radio. He is such a financial albatross for Sirius.

At this point... Howie's leaving Sirius would make about as much waves as did Martha Stewart's departure... about half a blip. Even his handful of remaining diehards would probably feel more relief than disappointment.

A company saves 80-100 million a year in payroll and frees up half of its studio space, I can't imagine it would be unnoticeable... Maybe I'm overly optimistic.

For shits n' giggles NBC should put Howie on for a week when Fallon is on vacation. It would interesting to see if he could pull it off without a ratings crater.

At least Erock could put the limo elevator to good use. He must be taxing the hell out of those person elevators

A week isn't long enough to judge. I bet even Sam Roberts could pull in numbers for a couple days.

Why are they grooming a guy who is 60 and his heyday is an honest 15 years or more behind him?

He should just take his fat sacks of loot that he doesn't merit whatsoever and just beat it already.
You can't air the 20 year old Kinison studio bit on late night, lazy shitdick.

You may not be remembering to well.

It was funny as hell and I have no idea what you are talking about just playing stuff from the radio after five shows. Here is a clip from show 37:

I think I am remembering the other show they had...the one on 9 had the "Butt Bongo Fiesta" ads? The Channel 9 was one night a week?

Yeah. You are thinking of the later "E!" show. That was just interviews from the show. The channel 9 show was really fucking funny. Watch some on YouTube. Some of it does not hold up now, but for it's time...
