Is this based on the video game series? Because those are always good.

I wonder if his catchphrase will lead to the end of his career and suicide

This looks like Fast and Furious with the pretense of plot stripped away.

Saw this tonight. It was what it was. Popcorn film. Wasn't terrible. Wasn't great. Some strange acting choices. I'm glad I watch Top Gear, otherwise I wouldn't have recognized the supercars.

Decent way to kill 2 hours.

Not really much at all. He was cocksure and confident.

I wanna see the film for just time killing entertainment purposes. I was afraid they would infuse a lot of "YEAH BITCH" into the film to rope in the Breaking Bad Fans

He didn't say Bitch once in this film. He actually gave a rather nuanced performance... As much nuance as you can do in a film like this.

The critics are a bit harsher than you: 22% on RT.

Consensus:
With stock characters and a preposterous plot, this noisily diverting video game adaptation fulfills a Need for Speed and little else.
Highlights:

Note to director Scott Waugh and writer George Gatins: You do your movie no favors by constantly reminding the audience of the much better pictures that inspired your own
If you like watching people drive really nice cars really fast, "Need for Speed" scratches that particular itch. But expect nothing more, because everything else about it is just running on empty.
My personal favorite:
Stupidity and incompetence are two very different things, and this movie isn't smart enough to be as stupid as it wants.
Young men and fast cars are automatically stupid together, but even if you set your intelligence level at "off" ... you'll get a hangover from this cocktail of 200-proof stupid, clinking with moron ice cubes and with an idiot cherry on top.

If this 'flim' does well enough, I wouldn't be surprised if the F&F team recruited Aaron Paul to fill in for Paul Walkers part.

It's not Shakespeare... It's a movie aimed at teenage boys who like fast, exotic cars. I didn't give it a ringing endorsement... I just called it a decent way to kill 2 hours.

The reviews and the derivative nature of the movie itself make me think of it as "Stealth, but with Cars!" Stealth was not a decent way to kill 2 hours.

This is a sequel right? Yeah, to that one movie with Paul Walker and Vin Diesel in it back in 2001?

There's only so much bullshit in a movie I can tolerate. What's next, a car that goes off a ramp into orbit?
I like it! Harvey, get on that.

Need for Speed finished first on Friday, but will likely finish 3rd for the weekend. @fletcher , care to comment on Aaron Paul's acting career?
