Anyone else catching this show? It's not to bad, actually I really liked the series premier. That and his full figured Latina partner Eva.

I thought it was pretty good too. We'll have to see if it has a chance

Based on earlier offerings (Jericho), I doubt there is much of a of chance. Fuck network TV.

I liked it. I was getting a kick out of his references to his age and the way his partner kept looking at him like he was insane.

BTW, I also thought his partner was hispanic, but according to IMDB she is a mix of Burmese, Indian, Iranian, Scottish, and English.

FOX suspended production Tuesday on newcomer New Amsterdam. Meanwhile, its order has been cut from 13 to seven episodes.

The news marks the latest blow to the troubled drama, which was originally set to premiere on Tuesday nights this fall. Last week, FOX made a similar decision about fellow Regency Television-based newcomer The Return of Jezebel James.

Yup, but they brought it back just to wrap it up. No more eps after this season.

Great, another series I'm getting into gets killed. ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, they all freaking suck ass.

Personal faves. Don't forget Greg The Bunny either and that they passed on Doctor Who.

Decent series with some twists. My neighbor was the guy in the AA meeting telling him he could "do the math". Nice to see him have work. He was also in 25th hour.

The actress who plays Amsterdam's partner was also the spy chick in The Lone Gunmen (also canceled by Fox). More recently she played Gaia in Rome (worked her way up the slave ladder and ended up stabbed and dumped in the water.)

Next episode of New Amsterdam we meet another child of his. He has been taking advantage of hundreds of years of good age and good health (and realistically, birth control wasn't that comment for most of his life).

I'll definitely give you Wonderfalls and John Doe, and also raise you Keen Eddie. That was a fun fucking show too; at least that show got to burn all of its remaining episodes on Bravo, and a box set of the show is out on DVD.

I loved all those shows. Even Quintuplets grew on me.

And don't forget Jay Mohr's ACTION- which was hysterical, still hysterical (on DVD) and only lasted a half season.

And The Critic, easily one of the best cartoons of all time. (Though it was on ABC first.)

And Futurama.

Action was really at forefront of the idea of the single camera sitcom before it became popular. And I say Action probably would have been better than Entourage.

i watched a few episodes of this show in fox.com. It's not a bad premise, but the writing isn't up to par with one hour shows like Homicide or ER. It seems they lose focus of each story they try to tell and they never really seem to fit together. Also, the acting isn't so good. I get the lead actor having a slight accent and being coy about his age, but show some real emotion. And the partner is even worse. She is your typical woman cop and nothing else.

The graphics are cool though. I liked how 1800 times square merged into 2007 times square.

I'm watching it right now on Fox.com. His back story is the real show the cop shit is just filler(a lot like Life). I like it there fore it must get cancelled.

Hopefully this will be another one that either USA, or Sci-Fi picks up on.

this was the biggest piece of dog shit i've had the displeasure of watching. the writing stunk...with all his clever allusions to the fact that he can't die "my last 700 girlfriends" "i used to drink here when it was a speak easy" yeck..

and he can't pull of an American accent very well either.

im glad it's canceled

no offense

I watched the first episode and I personally found it to be unwatchable. It was the vampire gimmick (I'll never die, the wait of hundreds of years of life is on my shoulder) without any blood drinking.

No, it's best canceled.
Hurray, Fox.
