For those who haven't heard, the new Red Hot Chili Peppers album, "I'm with You", has a release date. That release date is August 30th. The first single, "The Adventures of Raindance Maggie", should be out either the end of this month or the end of July. In case people are wondering.......................
It's that part of Best Buy that everyone quickly walks though to get to the video game and home theater sections.
I hate most bands that sound like them, but they always have 3-5 really good songs per album. They might sound like sellout horseshit (and might even be sellout horseshit) but they're the one exception. They do know how to write a goddam good ditty. I'd put Otherside and Snow in contention for top 10 songs of last decade.
And don't forget to catch an all new Saturday Night Live, September 3rd, with host James Van Der Beek and musical guest Red Hot Chili Pepers! Special appearance by star of "She's All That" Rachael Leigh Cook! If you can't watch them live, you can probably grab it off Limewire. (You see, they're 1999 jokes...) :icon_cool
Of course she was... Even as the "Ugly Weirdo" she was hot. And of course Freddie Prince JR was dreamy. (It was a toss up between Freddie and James hosting)
I still like hearing their older stuff, but rarely go out of my way to listen to any. Though, if I'm in a bar or somewhere and 'True Men Don't Kill Coyotes' comes on, I'm happy.
I liked them from High School up until Blood Sugar Sex Magik came out, but I don't think it's an age thing, their music has just turned to shit.
I can't stand hearing Under the Bridge in such nauseating repetition. Just like how Sirius programs...
I still enjoy RHCP, I saw them live during their last tour and they put on a great show. By The Way is a very underrated album, IMO, almost the entire album from top to bottom is great. Stadium Arcadium wasnt as good but wouldve been much better if it were a single rather than a double album. Anyway, Ill pick up the new album, I just hope Frusciante leaving the band again doesnt negatively affect the music like it did when Navarro took over for One Hot Minute.
