My job, commute and hours are really getting to me. Plus, the wife wants to start a family, and working 2nd shift just wont do.

I went to school for website design and consulting and have my full CIW certification. I worked in this field for 4 years before getting laid off.

Currently I run a 4 color Solna coldset web printing press. (dont ask, job courtesy of the father in law and it beats working in an office) I have been doing this for 4 years as well and I am damn good at it.

So, if anyone out there knows of anywhere hiring in either field, please let me know. Anywhere within an hour commute of the Pocono's PA.

I have been *miserable* at my job since nearly day one, but after a solid year of pounding the pavement, I finally got a great new gig that starts in a week +. I wish you all the luck in the world, I know how awful it can be when you feel (or are) trapped in a job you despise.

Try going onto Yahoo hot jobs. They actually get you good info instead of shitty spam that I encountered through other sites.

1.) Set up the free account
2.) Type or copy and paste your resume
3.) Put in the specific job you are looking for,,,,also you can put in distance to your house that your are willing to travel,,,etc.

It works great and is awesome to not only find a great job but to see what else is out there that you may of never thought about. You can always check it even if you get a job to see if there's one waiting for you that offers more money. I never even thought about or realized the power it gives you to know you have a job interview for a different company that may offer more money while you are still employed....I learned that you just have to keep pushing your way up untill you get what you wan't,,,then push harder. Leave all the suckers in the dust.

I'm all about job searching while still employed. Unfortunately I seem to find jobs that start out great, but then within 2 to 3 years it changes so much that it's not even remotely close to what I started doing. I'm willing to embrace change, but sometimes there's no silver lining, just more work & more hours in a more toxic environment.

By the way, Fortune will be coming out with its "Top 100 Companies to Work For" issue soon.

The Poconos? Maybe you could get a job as a champagne glass jacuzzi mechanic?
