Did you try shake it up or put in blender to put back together? The issue may be the half & half. just use 8 oz milk and 8 oz cream.

Also, if you incorporate the booze mixture into the eggs too quickly the emulsification will break. Transfer the ribboned yolks to a narrow bowl with high sides (or bvlender jar) and use a stick blender to incorporate the booze mix. (or slowly incorporate into blender running on low speed)

Half & half is simply that with an enzyme added to prevent seperation. With time or exposure to heat the enzyme will break down.

Hmmmm, I do like egg nog, but ironically I’ve never had it with booze in it
