Can we please try to keep all NSFW pics/vids/etc strictly limited to the Bizarro Forum?

Also - if you have any NSFW images in your sigs/avatars, please remove them. The NSFW tags only hide them from human view, not web spiders.

If you see any NSFW content out of the Bizarro forum, I would appreciate it if you could report the post/thread so we can move the content there.

Thank you!

Wackbag needs a separate Good Boy Forum and a Naughty Boy Forum.

There's gotta be a better way to get ad revenue. Not sure exactly how it works, but aren't the constant use of naughty words and themes going to be a problem too?

I HAAAAATE that the stuff between spoiler tags still shows up in new forum posts. Maybe if you could find a way to hide that it would hide the nsfw stuff too?

Can you just make ONA listening threads, Off topic and Bizzaro only accessible to members? That would probably clean up 90% of it. Anyone that wanted to just lurk the listening threads would be forced to be members at that point.

Just a thought

Bizarro is currently restricted to members only. And I am not completely opposed to making Off Topic the same way either.

The "adult" orientated ad providers are wayyy too NSFW, even for here.

It's better than charging for admission, or putting up a "tip jar"

I was saying even if you just limit NSFW images to the member's only section, aren't the constant mentions of uncensored words going to put us in the same boat? How do the ad generators know the difference between "cunt" in a filename or in a sentence?

And I wouldn't mind the tip jar concept, or even the quarterly fund drives a lot of places have. I've donated here through Myradiostore.com before. But that should be a last resort.

They say "excessive" profanity. I'm not sure how they calculate "excessive"... here are their other rules:

Pornography, adult or mature content
Violent content
Content related to racial intolerance or advocacy against any individual, group or organisation
Excessive profanity
Hacking/cracking content
Gambling or casino-related content
Illicit drugs and drug paraphernalia content
Sales of beer or hard alcohol
Sales of tobacco or tobacco-related products
Sales of prescription drugs
Sales of weapons or ammunition (e.g. firearms, firearm components, fighting knives, stun guns)
Sales of products that are replicas or imitations of designer or other goods
Sales or distribution of coursework or student essays
Content regarding programs which compensate users for clicking ads or offers, performing searches, surfing websites or reading emails
Any other content that is illegal, promotes illegal activity or infringes on the legal rights of others

With the exception of the gambling and ban on hacking/cracking/torrent discussions, it seems like the rest of those are pretty pervasive around here. It seems like we'd be in trouble for all the profanity, violence and race comments that really can't be confined to just Off Topic. And if you make all of OT invisible to the search engines, I think you're probably killing a lot of the major traffic drivers to the site. Unless a major story like the Weiner/Breitbart thing hits, it seems like General Discussion isn't nearly as active as it used to be.

And did the Adblock issue get fixed for both Firefox and Google Chrome? Sucks that the "fix" with this new and improved version of VBulletin is to enable Adblock, kind of counter-productive.

A couple of the other sites I go to have notices on there to disable Adblock for their site, so I'm assuming WB is losing revenue when people visit with that installed. I'd bet a huge percentage of the people here (especially in Off Topic) are pretty computer savvy and are running stuff like that. Maybe when the issue gets fixed with the Java and Chrome, have a little "announcement" covering that.

I think the Chrome issue is more related to the temp ads I put up. Their code probably isn't as good as Google's.

I actually don't care if people use AdBlock (when we had AdSense available). I actually really like Reddit's model of occasionally posting a random cat/bunny/etc pic with the caption of "Instead of an ad, here's a pic of ____. Thanks for not using AdBlock" ... I also like their model of users being able to buy ad-space for $20. Our site's content-model doesn't really allow for it the same way that Reddit's does though.

AdSense only quoted the nude pics when they suspended the account.

I didn't realize we got suspended from AdSense. Should I make a video of me smashing my laptop now?
Only if you start from the bottom of the list, then use a pic of a text from 6+ months ago as "evidence" and follow it all up by changing the calendar to a 9-year month, and bragging about your vasectomy.

Too inside?

As long as we get the cool jackets, that's fine. Would making the entire site members only be counterproductive? I assume that means no ads, but I don't know, so I'm asking.

That just alienated most of Wackbag in one fell swoop.

Jesus,

Just put a donate button a the top of the site with a meter that fills to 100% when the monthly costs are met.

What is the point of not being able to post nude pics on a fan site for a radio show on an NSFW/XL channel?

Try reading the entire thread before you bitch about it.

Not that I have a choice or I matter, but I'm good with whatever needs to be done to pay the bills.
