What a crock of shit.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,313725,00.html

A retired police officer is seeking a court order to force the state Department of Motor Vehicles to drop its demand that he return vanity license plates calling for the capture or death of Usama bin Laden.

Arno Herwerth, a 21-year veteran of the New York Police Department, said he requested the "GETOSAMA" plates earlier this month to send a political message. He said he was surprised to hear, after receiving the plates, that the DMV wanted them back.

Yeah, imagine that. A guy wants to let everyone know that we should get a mass murdering animal. We are begging for it to happen again.

9/11 was not a wake up call, it was the snooze button.

Of course they do. We wouldn't want to offend the man who has
admitted to creating the worst attack on our homeland in history.

This fucking country is doomed if it doesn't snap out of this
asinine P/C mentality we are becoming mired in.

Well, of course he has to give them back. GETOSAMA is inflammatory and might hurt the feelings of Osama supporters. And we don't want to hurt anyone's feelings now do we?

Meantime if some Muslim wanted KILLBUSH or some anti-Christian message that would be just fine.

The guy should just file the paperwork to open a fried chicken stand called Sama's.
Nothing wrong with flaunting your business on a vanity plate..

The reason they want it back is because it was the US government that did 9/11 :icon_roll

Excuse me, the other day I saw a NY liscense plate that said "DAMNRITE". Isn't the word "DAMN" offesive to someone? At least more offensive than "GETOSAMA"?

I've always believed the theory that everyone has a preset level, varying in size with the individual, to which they are annoyed, offended, or concerned over problems in general.

Solve any of those problems, and another will fill that space with the same level of emotion, regardless of the actual severity of the problem.

Or a bar named O'Sama's.
But it would be hard to convince the DMV that was what you meant by the plate.

Much better to tell the DMV and all the news outlets that 'geto' is shorthand for ghetto, where the chicken stand names sama's will be located.
He can't lose.
