Convention has been a big thing regarding city pensions. Big campaign to vote no. Even some stupid rumor that no vote will equal a yes vote.

I voted for Maliatokis, or whatever, my guess is that the votes against Deblasio are split between her getting the most, then Albanese and that moron Bo.. his party was listed as dump the mayor if I read it right.

It's NY, I don't think there is chance Deblasio loses, but I hope so.

The only reason I knew about the constitutional convention is the 50 bumper stickers I see every day saying to vote against it. Both sides seem to think it's a terrible idea, which makes me slightly concerned that it might be the best thing ever.

I couldn't figure out what the convention thing was about. From what I could gather there were people on both sides of the aisle who were against it. I voted no because the supporters of it put out a rap video saying to vote "Yes".

We're having unusually high turnout for an off-year election here on Long Island, largely because of a pair of local officials under federal indictment. The Republican County Executive in Nassau got caught taking kickbacks for pushing through permits for his friends, and the Democratic DA in Suffolk County apparently covered up a police assault on a suspect. So, depending which county you live in, there are signs touting the opposite party as being "anti-corruption".

They get what they deserve

It must be great being a lib in NYC.
After years of Koch and Dinkins destroying NYC they were finally forced to ignore their feelings and vote Giuliani. If the dems can get enough 3rd world voters into NYC you will not see the breaking point again.

The sloppy commie wins another term as NYC mayor. DeBlo probably thinks he has a road to the White House now.

Well give enough free stuff out.. anyone can win.
He's been posturing for it. Going to that Germany summit while ignoring the executed cop not too long ago pretty much confirms it. He probably recons himself Bernie 2.0

Yes, I recall reading a few years back that he sees himself as the face of the progressive socialists and some in the DNC understood him to be positioning hinself for national office.

Again...for winning a mayoral re-election for a city of what, 7 million? In two hours, he's mustered 265 likes for this tweet. Something's amiss.

He's obviously lying in this tweet though. There is no religion in Marxism. Those who are deemed unwilling to give up their religion, are exterminated. Your religion becomes your government, your God is your dictator. So in his sick, twisted mind, he himself is blessing NYC.

A lot of them probably can't read English.

If I lived in NYC I'd be concerned. Who knows what socialist bullshit he's going to enact now that he's been reaffirmed and doesn't have to worry anymore about a second term. Like others I was hoping for a miracle upset, rejecting the pay for play corruption or Blas (though wasn't delusional enough to believe it couldn't actually happen). Better a corrupt democrat than even the most honest Republican.

Overall, obviously disappointed with how yesterday went and gives me concern for 2018. In any regard it seems that the turning of the tides for the left that many of us were hoping for due to the continued (still a goddamn year later) bellyaching of the left over Trump's win, the fully open media bias, exposed corruption in the DNC, NFL players taking knees for the Anthem, all the antifa bullshit etc. is not going to happen. Pity

Dude, we had David Dinkins as mayor during the rise of crack. White people were being shot in the head on 5th Avenue at 12:15 pm on a Wednesday for their cuff links.

This is child’s play.

True, but you largely have Guiliani and Bloomberg to thank for turning that around. NYC should always be voting republican (yeah I know Bloomberg was never actually a republican, but he followed Guiliani's lead when it came to quality of life and broken windows policing)

The blacks and Hispanics will NEVER vote Repub. Ever. In their minds that only means more oppression and less free shit.

DiBlasio got elected on an afro last time.

The Comrade literally ran on a slavery platform. You want freedom and liberty? I'm not the right candidate for you. If you want to be told what you are allowed to wear, eat, think, say, where you can live? Vote for Comrade De Blasio.

Voters deserve what they get.

Philly elected a total wackjob as District Attorney. I don't even know where to start with this fucking guy. The only people he'll prosecute are legally armed citizens who defend themselves against the criminals who will be emboldened. The rag Philly newspapers even endorsed the Republican opponent because this guy is such a kook.

Virginia elected a tranny to the legislature and the (D) won the race for governor. NJ elected Corzine 2.0 so they deserve what they get as well.

Well in Allentown people voted for a guy who has been mayor the last 3 terms. Not bad you say until you know he was indicted this summer by the fbi on pay for play. This had been hanging over his head for a year with his former campaign manager and best friend wearing a wire for some time until the mayor was tipped off. Never underestimate the stupidity of people. This is a dem city and will never see another repub as mayor while I am alive. He won easily.

If there's one thing I'm repeatedly reminded of it's to never expect people to care about getting fucked by politicians (especially dems caring about corrupt dem officials). As long as the lights are on, free internet porn continues to flow and dopey sitcoms like Young Sheldon flourish, the sheep will stay in the pen even if they've seen the way to leave.

Feel my pain. I’m in the belly of the beast. Thing is, you can NEVER find anyone who’ll admit to voting for the likes of DeBlasio.

Whoops I forgot to add tax the rich more to pay for the free stuff.
