Since I am clogging up this section with posts by me, I am going to just make one thread here and then update it as I go. If a mod is willing to help me out. I will go through and collect all my other posts and put them here too. After that I'll message a mod for some delete requests to keep the section from just nyquil's audio postings.

Here is the newest additions to the Opie and Anthony Archive!

NOTE: If one of the archives embeds itself in a small gray media player looking thing, click the right corner of the embedded media players to see the actual archive page!

During the Post-Sex 4 Sam firing and 2002-2004 ban from broadcasting, the only way that Opie and Anthony could communicate with their fan base was through the web. Opie wrote a series of blog posts throughout the two years to update fans as to what they were up to and where the future of Opie and Anthony stood. Here are ALL of those blog posts, mostly in order (one or two posts are out of order). Included after that are some fan-made Garbage Pail Kids, older Jim Norton webpage screenshots, and some others. The Garbage Pail Kids are NSFW due to Steve C's (I think) Garbage Pail Kid being a photo of gay porn

This collection includes all of the "Worst of the Year" specials that Opie & Anthony ran during Christmas vacation. During these shows, they highlighted some of the best bits and segments that they had during the year. Sometimes there is a guest host. Each year has a varying range of content, from only one full show, to ~40 hours of audio.

There is also an "Opie & Anthony Specials" collection here. In this compilation of shows you get nearly all of the specials that the O&A production team put together from 2004 to 2014, most/all of the contests and shows that O&A performed like the Homeless Shopping Spree (#2 and #3), Superball Challenge, Tequila and Donuts Day, the Super Shows, and many many more.

If you are a brand new fan or an old listener, this is should work as a sufficient overview of Opie and Anthony's most notable moments from their radio show on XM and Sirius XM!

Note:
On iPhones, Chrome stops playing the audio if your screen goes off or while multitasking etc., but Safari will continue to play while multitasking/with the screen off. There is also an app in the App Store and Google Play store for called Internet Archive Companion or something. It's not necessary but works pretty well and has a few nice features.

Enjoy!!!!

Opie and Anthony's Tribute to Patrice O'Neal

Archive: https://archive.org/details/oatributetopatrice

Here is the special O&A Tribute to Patrice O'Neal, split up into 18 diferent parts, spanning 14 hours, it highlights some of the most favorite bits and moments of Patrice on O&A, selected by Opie, Anthony, Jim & other friends of Patrice. This special ran over the course of a weekend around the time of Patrice O'Neal's death in 2011. Special thanks for this archive goes to Rosiebun1 of the now-defunct B.M.T. fan page, he chopped up the segments and added convenient metadata for phones/MP3 players/iTunes-like software.

[Patrice Oneal

Patrice Oneal (December 7, 1969 - November 29, 2011) was a standup comedian and popular guest on The Opie and Anthony Show. He often filled in for Jim Norton when he was away doing standup. Patrice also hosted the show Bitch Management during The Saturday Night Virus. He frequently appeared on Sean Hannity's radio and television shows. He was best known for his cutting commentary on women, relationships, and race.

Bio
Patrice got his first real taste of standup at a place called Estelle's in Boston. He was heckling a comic, and the comic suggested maybe Patrice thought he could do better. Patrice did and the following week he went on stage at Estelle's and brought down the house. From there he went on to work at the Comedy Connection, then moved to working the clubs in and around Boston, New England, and New York.

A regular on the now defunct Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn, Patrice had appeared on Late Night With Conan O'Brien three times and The Late Show with David Letterman twice. He had a semi-recurring role as Lonnie, a warehouse employee, on NBC's The Office. Previously, he also had recurring roles on both NBC's The Colin Quinn Show and Comedy Central's Contest Searchlight. Patrice also played the role of Pit Bull in the Chappelle's Show sketch entitled "The Players Ball".

As a stand-up comedian, he performed at both the prestigious Montreal Just For Laughs and the HBO U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen. Additionally Patrice appeared on Comedy Central's Premium Blend, NBC's Comedy Showcase, as well as having his own half-hour special on Showtime.

His film credits include: The 25th Hour directed by Spike Lee, In the Cut with Meg Ryan, and Head of State with Chris Rock.

On October 26th, 2011 Bob Kelly announced that Patrice had fell ill and had a stroke on October 19th. Jimmy had invited Bob, Rich Vos, Colin Quinn, and Keith Robinson in to help announce it because he didn't want to do it alone and so the listeners heard it from them and not from someone who doesn't know anything.

On November 29th, 2011 TMZ broke the story that Patrice had not recovered and died at the age of 41 during the morning. Opie confirmed it VIA Twitter. Ron and Fez decided to stop their "Why the 70's Rocked" bit to take listener calls about Patrice. RIP Patrice.

Opie and Anthony spent the whole November 30th show telling stories and sharing their favorite moments with Patrice. A long list of comedians stopped by and called in to pay respects. These comedians included Rich Vos Robert Kelly Jim Florentine, Joe DeRosa, Joe Rogan, Colin Quinn, Bill Burr, Kurt Metzger, Amy Schumer,Louis C.K., Dave Attel, and Rus Meneve. The tribute show continued into After Opie and Anthony Live, Ron and Fez with Fez feeling bad for Patrice's family, and into the next day with Dane Cook.

Fun Facts
  • Known for going to Rio de Janiero, bringing with him a steel briefcase filled with various glass dildos, and using said glass dildos on Brazilian prostitutes while saying "Calmo, calmo" ("Calm, calm" in Portugese) and rubbing her stomach to soothe the violently orgasming prostitute.
  • Earlier in his career, he was booed at the Apollo. When asked about this, Patrice said "I came out there nice and arrogant" and "got taught a big fat lesson".
  • Was imprisoned for statutory **** for 2 months when he was 17 years old for a consensual encounter with a caucasian girl of 15. He told the story on the air with Opie and Anthony on December 15, 2005. Prior to that airing, Patrice had never shared the story publicly.
    • On July 13, 2010, Patrice revealed that he couldn't cross the border into Canada because of his **** conviction.
  • While driving back from a gig, Patrice stopped at a rest area to get some sleep when a man walked up to his car saying "It's cold out here." Patrice thought the guy was just cold and told him to go indoors to warm up. After the guy walked back to his own car, Patrice realized the guy wasn't really cold and he was actually looking for gay sex. (told on January 16, 2006, after the 1st break)
  • During talk about American Idol and one of the sexually-confused messes that appeared on it, Patrice mentioned how men can't sing certain songs without changing the lyrics. It was during this exchange that "It's Raining Stuff" was born (January 19, 2006).
  • During the Homeless Charlie controversy, Patrice appeared on The Big Story with John Gibson on the Fox News Channel and was so obscene Gibson had to apologize for his comments.
  • His last name is spelled inconsistently on his own promotional materials, sometimes as "Oneal" and sometimes as "O'Neal".

A Blast from the Past!
radiosanthony.com Photo Dump
Remember radiosanthony.com?! Somehow that dinosaur is still up and running. How? I don't know. As a self-deemed Opie & Anthony Compendium curator, I am must admit a rather embarrassing truth. I'm not sure the official origin or backstory of radiosanthony.com. I know that it was partially or fully run by "acksgrl", aka Mellinda, aka the notorious "Lobster Girl" and long-term (for Ant at least) girlfriend of Anthony, and a very prominent figure in the history of Opie & Anthony's relationship with the fanbase.

The site was most active, from what I can see, between the early 2000's to around 2006. It would make sense that the activity on the website ceased to continue around the time that Anthony and Mellinda's relationship fizzled, however, why the actual site is still fully online and intact all this time later is a mystery to me.

Because this website is inevitably going to go offline in November, I decided to, with the help of some third party download managing software, collect every single image on every single page that was publicly available or posted somewhere on the site. Because of the design of the site, at first glance it looks as though it's extremely small and you can see the entirety of its contents in about 5 minutes. However, there are several hard-to-notice links that lead to photo pages upon photo pages. It felt like I was Alice falling into a rabbit hole of cringe. It just kept going and going. Finally after scrounging around until every link was purple, the total collection came to 730 photos. Here they are, in 5 separate parts. Included below the albums is an Archive.org gallery where you can download the full ZIP for these images. Don't all rush to download it right away, the higher traffic will slow down their servers.

See you all next time right back here at the Museum of O&A for another Opie & Anthony historical experience,

CLASSIC OPIE & ANTHONY CHANNELS ON YOUTUBE

“We do not remember days, we remember moments. The richness of life lies in memories we have forgotten.”
With all the monsters in uploading these days, some of the very old channels get lost in the mix. This thread is to appreciate some older O&A channels, back in the 15 minute upload limit days. A lot of these channels have tons of good gems that have been forgotten as the years have gone by. If you know of any feel free to add them to the list too:

  • Yarsh29 -- Tons of clips and moments and audio. Endless amount of clips to listen to. Uploads ends at 3 years ago and go all the way back to 7 years ago
  • fobias79 -- Similar to Yarsh29, the uploads are from 6-7 years ago
  • Mrmys1900 -- Just like the above 2 channels,
  • Frrrrrrrrunkis -- Same description as Yarsh and probably with even MORE content, and still active. These 4 channels are the essential old time O&A channels, between them it'd be impossible to run out of things to listen to
  • eyehatemyjob -- Started uploading Chip videos that have multiple segments in each video around the time Norton started doing the character on the air regularly. THe uploads are from 3-6 years ago
  • hoohoohoorobin - Medium amount of videos, 5-6 years ago with a lot of clips that are older from early XM days
  • TheBobWhooKidSamShow -- The best source of any classic O&A before XM days content one would need
  • Rick P -- Has a lot of assorted stuff involving Bill Burr on O&A, O&A clips, old Uninformed clips / other stuff

I was missing two images from the "O&A Visit Circuit City" collection. Now I finally have a complete set of all images. Thx.
