Pretty sure the billion dollars in vacations makes up for it.

BHO: Your base "shouldn't" care about you not accepting a paltry 5% of your salary...just ask your former opponent Mitt Romney...which your base largely ignored the fact that he refused to accept a salary as governor and allegedly donated all of his Salt Lake Olympic money to charity.

    Good try though.

To make sure the Treasury received the check, he flew across town to present it himself, at a cost of $65,674 to the taxpayer.

I doubt he's even aware of his actual salary on a day-to-day basis. Thanks for the empty gesture, HNIC.

I'll also add that...thank goodness the middle class is still "doing fine". I mean, had the middle class been struggling and millions of unemployed workers still unable to find employment...cutting $20K of your own salary to go from $400K to $380K...would look downright silly and pompous. But thankfully, Obama "The Brilliant Economist" fixed the economy with his most comprehensive and expensive stimulus package in US history and him attempting to show solidarity with his federal workers with his own personal 5% cut is truly noble.

Also something else people don't consider... his salary is almost completely profit. All of his living expenses are paid for, so he could donate 100% of his salary back to the treasury and still be living like an upper-level 1%er (maaaaaan).
