Getting people ON TO food stamps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...d-stamps-because-government-getting-word-out/

So it's a good thing that more people are living off the government? I'm confused.

Oh wait, no I'm not because I am not a retard. If these idiots believe that food stamps have a stimulative effect (which they don't), why not put every American on them and solve the economic crisis right away? By this logic, taking money from people, funneling it through Washington bureaucracies, and then giving it to people to spend somehow creates more money than you started with. If this is true, then the only responsible thing to do is take ALL of EVERYONE'S money, then pass it back out to them. We would nearly double the GDP overnight ($1 of food stamps "creates" $1.84 in the economy, therefore our $14 trillion GDP would magically become about $25 trillion). Where is my Nobel Prize for economics?

    They gave it to Obama.

This is so fucking stupid. So they go to people who are getting by somehow on their own two feet, and basically tell them they don't need to. Still waiting for the day when the IRS calls me up and explains all the loopholes I've been missing out on.

No need to be confused anymore. If you read John Holdrens book Ecoscience you will see the goal is to get everyone on government assistance.

Kirk, complete honesty... did you read Holdren's book, or just infowar's cliff notes?

I'm not saying it doesn't have fucked up shit in it (I don't know but can imagine)... I just can't see you reading a 1000+ page book.

LOL. Yeah, I can't imagine they went to homeless shelters and found starving people who just didn't know there were food stamps available. It was probably people who were already at the office picking up whatever other government checks they are "entitled" to, and the helpful bureaucrat says "you know you are also eligible for food stamps, right?".
