He certainly cried and blamed the "food pigs"...
Fucking shit. I'm on this board for 12 years, take a bit of a break and return to find this shitshow. Somebody keep Ronnie B in a secure location.
I'm skipping ahead to comment on this.
While Opie is a narcissist, just like jimmy and Anthony, I have a feeling that he might do just that, I would speculate that opie has a few bucks squirreled away, (the cheep fuck) take his money, I'm hoping that he was smart enough to have an iron clad severance in his contract, sell his condo in the city, move to his beach house, fish for the rest of the summer, then, in the winter, when he's going stir crazy, just start a YouTube channel or do guest bits on compound media. He's fliftyish he's got a hot wife two young kids, why waste the rest of his life fighting with idiots.
To quote Ron Bennington, you can choose your family, but your friends chose you and it's hard to get rid of them.
Ahhhh Ronnie B quotes

I agree, except that the XM gig as O&A&J was a steady gig, that I'm sure paid well, was "stable" and as long as the contract was in place they could just "phone it in" the "shock jock" era ended with Sex for Sam, that made them basically un touchable (even though they did have the free FM gig, to fill the void left by Howard, they were always damaged goods)
The way Anthony got canned and the fight afterwards was very telling about how bad things were.
It's a shame really that they fizzled out the way they did, but, I think it was inevitable
Because delusions of talent, and an overinflated ego.
I guess that is what makes people successful, like it or not the guy made millions on the radio
True. If I had to rate his strengths it would go as follows...
1. Ambition and ego.
2. Surrounding himself with talented people.
3. His understanding of the radio business.
What was this?
I assume it's Opie embarrassing himself in some way.
He probably never got followed on his new account in the first place. The Jim and Sam show has more followers.
I'm sure Opie was following him.
I did a little backtracking on it and it looks like it started when someone made a joke asking Anthony if he would do one of Opie's pop ups at a Popeye's. Anthony either didn't get the joke or breezed by it to once again make the case on Twitter for a reunion - either Opie on his show or Ant doing one of his popups. I think the problem is that he always says he has no problem with Opie and would do a show with him anytime, but this either comes right before or right after him trashing Opie, be it on his own show, one of Jim's shows, a live event, whatever. I understand why he takes the shots - they're an easy way to get a cheap laugh from Jimmy and the Opie hating sycophants out there. So that's fine, but it's pretty dishonest for him to say "Opie's the reason we don't do reunion shows" when he is constantly trashing the guy. And true to his pattern right after campaigning for the reunion he trashed Opie.
You really can't blame Opie for being sick of it, although I'm sure someone's about to quote me and do just that.
What a pissy eyed faggot.
I can't disagree. My only defense for Ant is that I haven't heard him take many shots (since the initial fallout). Only a few and they have always had the same theme...Opie was hell to work with. Nothing personal. Others who listen more to Ant can correct me on this.
I blame Opie for being sick of it.
I'm all for a good trashing, but this shit Anthony does now is just weird. He announces that Opie was "abominable" to work with for 15 years in the same breath as trashing Opie for not going on his show or vice versa. But Opie is the one who lacks self-awareness.
I keep expecting the all-out beating, but it's never going to happen. Anthony blew his load with Greggshells. All he has left now is showing up with Jim and teehee-ing over an Opie reference for six people on reddit while Sam cackles in the background. But he's got the hit apartment broadcast with the heroin carcass and Opie's doing pop-ups with Vic Henley, so...yeah, O&A always win in the end!
