How about Senators Reid and Harkin coming after Rush Limbaugh for no reason.

The previous vote was 9-1, with third generation San Franciscan Ed Jew turning in the veto vote, after getting up and affirming Savage's First Amendment right to express his opinion.

Supervisor Gerardo Sandoval had introduced the resolution in August to condemn the radio talker. After the vote, he called for the tally to be rescinded and the proposal sent to committee, which essentially is a polite way of letting the issue die.

"For the record, I do not agree with comments allegedly made by Mr. Savage, but the First Amendment gives him the right to make those comments," Jew said

Why cant we just get on the news and start calling people cunts? what are they going to do to us take us off the air?

We should just take over a news broadcast with pictures and show everyone who is a cunt and label them with like one of our great members that have cunt face on the forhead.

I looked at PACs site to get latest info on what I can do as a PAC member to support free speech. There is no mention of Limbaugh or Savage situation. When are they going to update the PAC site?

I love how the article against hate speech has some guy named Jew commenting.

One day it is going to come out, Savage is a card carrying gay. The ones that screams the loudest usually are. (Senator Craig et al.)

The Media Matters group is a perfect example of a "letterhead group" that brings attention to a non issue. They distort the facts and then feed this to the mainstream press- and those lazy cunts report the story as news.

PAC should expose these douches for the frauds that they are. C'mon Deb- give us a new project.

Not to change the subject, but since you did. It was not a gay issue that riled that supervisor up, but immigration.

Although I agree with you about the ones that scream the loudest ie: Sen. Craig, Sen Foley, Rev Ted Haggard, Jim Bakker, Jimmy Swaggart ect, ect, ect.

He does not fit into this category. Savage does not rail constantly about gays, and in fact he has often stated that when it comes to sex he is more like a libertarian. Just as long as it is not forced on him, children, or any unwilling participant what two consenting individuals do in the privacy of thier own bedroom is thier own business.

im not speaking for the pac i am speaking for myself here.

now as much as i dislike wiener ( his real name before he changed it)nation i will stand up for his right to speak. to me the pac a was created to save jocks who seem indefensible.shocks who are just silly.jocks like jv and elvis, o&a, ron and fez e.t.c. those kinds of jocks. the nature of their shows make them seem like easy targets to some.we(the pac) are there to let them(the bad guys) know that we do get high ratings and we are consumers and our voice counts however vile our voice may be.

there are a lot of free speech issues coming up(mcain fiengold, the fairness doctrine, purposefully misquoting hosts to try and weaken their effectiveness). i will show up to if there is a rally but i dont think conservative talk is in desperate need for a grass root group with an untappd, unheard audience and voice.

conservative talk already has its voice and message boards.im sure they can handle it.its what they do.they are in the arena of open exchange of ideas and opinions.they eat this shit.they can quote the first amendment and what the founders did and did not intend by heart.they are a very well informed audience and they know exactly how to handle situations like this.their built for it.

i might with permission wear my pac hat to events and rallys (with permission of course.i was gonna protest achmidinajad but i was busy as usual.)however a bunch of jocks who like to play 70's porn audio may not have the ...how do i put this....best audience to effectively deal with the sharptons and the other folks trying to take our liberty for the children or the women or who ever.not that were not well informed but we tend to be more on the "lets riot side" of radio fans.no one will stick up for us.no one will stick up for imus except us.no one will stick up for us except us.we need effective leadership that can get good media attention and make sound and clear arguments and stop thinking of ourselves as the shitcunts of the radio world.we need to be reminded that no matter how awful we like our humor we have a right to it and that we are real force to be reckoned with.

im not saying were not informed but some of us may feel like the creep having to go up against some familyfreindlychristloving group trying to shut down the local strip club.we just feel guilty.like ant said no politician is going to come out and say "im going to bring back the porn!" think of the pac as some kind of freak party group screaming we want to bring back the porn but trying to make it sound more gooder.the conservative talk guys will be fine.im with them in spirit but i dont think they are in need of my help.

hope thats coherent.kill me.

Yep. I noticed the same. Kinda pisses me off. Does PAC pick and choose, WTF kinda "organization" is that?

I was thrilled to read the Clear Channel CEOs letter this morning. No mention of it on the PAC site. Their response "News Regarding Free Expression"

Looks like our US Senate is getting on board condemning free speech. Seriously ... don't our taxpayer-funded elected politicians have something better to do than criticize a radio program? I'm not a fan of Rush, but he's an American with a right to speak his mind and earn a living doing so. Here's the Senators that comdemned Rush Limbaugh's right to free speech:

Senator Harry Reid, Majority Leader
Senator Richard Durbin, Assistant Majority Leader
Senator Charles Schumer, Vice Chairman, Democratic Conference
Senator Patty Murray, Secretary, Democratic Conference
Senator Daniel Akaka
Senator Max Baucus
Senator Joseph Biden
Senator Barbara Boxer
Senator Sherrod Brown
Senator Robert Byrd
Senator Benjamin Cardin
Senator Tom Carper
Senator Bob Casey
Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton
Senator Kent Conrad
Senator Christopher Dodd
Senator Byron Dorgan
Senator Dianne Feinstein
Senator Tom Harkin
Senator Daniel Inouye
Senator Edward M. Kennedy
Senator John Kerry
Senator Amy Klobuchar
Senator Mary Landrieu
Senator Frank Lautenberg
Senator Patrick Leahy
Senator Carl Levin
Senator Blanche Lincoln
Senator Bob Menendez
Senator Barbara Mikulski
Senator Bill Nelson
Senator Barack Obama
Senator Jack Reed
Senator Jay Rockefeller
Senator Ken Salazar
Senator Bernie Sanders
Senator Debbie Stabenow
Senator Jon Tester
Senator Jim Webb
Senator Sheldon Whitehouse
Senator Ron Wyden
