The PSP Playstation Store that was announced eons ago is now up and running. It's basically everything for the PSP that's on the PS3 PSN Store, but with a lot more content, including demos and full games. It's good news for PSP owners who couldn't get access to the PSN Store because they didn't have a PS3.

The highlight of the downloadable games on day one looks to be Syphon Filter: Combat Ops.

Note: As of now, the store doesn't support Mac so if you don't have a PC or PS3 you're fucked. Supposedly there's a PSP version of the store in the works that will allow your PSP to connect directly to the store via wifi, but that won't be for a while.
