She might have an ADA claim on her hands if the school persists. On the other hand, stop being a douche and acting like you'll die of starvation if you don't eat at a set period in the day.

I didnt take it as she would starve but more of the fact that ten minutes isnt very much time to eat. Besides how many preschool are asking questions about what they are eating and even if you arent eating it I think you could still answer a question from a 4 yr old.

I just dont understand the schools viewpoint at all.

oh, i get it. they don't want the 4 year olds to learn that they don't always have to do what the authority figure says.

It's a stupid rule, but she did agree to it when she took the job.

So does this mean that the students are not allowed to bring their own lunches?

Yeah, that's the bottom line as I read it. Lunch with the kids is not time off work, its part of the job.
    She's supposed to participate.

But why does the teacher have to eat whatever the students are eating. Again, are the students not allowed to bring their own lunch?

I agree, there's something more going on.
If food is part of the curriculum, the teacher could explain, at the level they understand, that some adults need slightly different food.
    Shouldn't be a problem.

Yeah it's easy to grab one of them muddy half gooks with the lure of homemade organic lunches. Give a few goats to the parents and you're all set.
