Maybe some of you folks around here have this game or know what the fuck this error means.........I've sent an e-mail to Activision about it and haven't recieved a response yet, but heres the error.

"Error during initialization:
Video card or driver doesn't support UBYTE4N vertex data."

here are the....-=MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS=-

SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:

Microsoft(R) Windows(R) XP/Vista (Windows 95/98/ME/2000 are unsupported)

Microsoft DirectX(R) 9.0c (included) (Windows Vista users will need to install the DirectX 9.0c updated included in the game disc)

HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS:

CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 2.4 GHz or AMD(R) Athlon(TM) 64 2800+ processor or any 1.8Ghz Dual Core Processor or better supported

RAM: 512MB RAM (768MB for Windows Vista)

VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA(R) Geforce(TM) 6600 or better or ATI(R) Radeon(R) 9800Pro or better

SOUND CARD: 100% DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

HDD SPACE: 8GB of free hard drive space

INTERNET: Broadband connection and service required for Multiplayer Connectivity

my video card is a Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family.

According to my computer and the minimum requirements, I should be good to go.

I've been to a bunch of gaming sites that have profiles of a lot of the gamers, and I've searched them for types of video cards they play with with a result of many of them having that exact same card. How can they play the game with the same card but I can't?

If anyone has had this problem, any help is appreciated.....this is my christmas present. Would suck if I had to take it back.

yep...did that a long time ago.

I found another forum after I posted this thread and there are many with this same problem.

some of the folks there are saying they might need a better video card, but I've seen on other gaming sites that have gamer profiles, a lot of the players have the same video card I do and play the game.

heres an example of one here.

go to the bottom at "Gaming Rig" and it says he has the same card, but he plays Warcraft, CoD4 and other games......maybe I'm reading it wrong.

I'm pretty sure you are better off getting a new card. I don't think the game officially supports anything but NVidia and ATI cards. Your card wasn't really intended for gaming.

I'm in the same line of thinking there. I sent Activision an e-mail last night, so I'm awaiting the final word from them.

oh well....was fun installing and seeing all the kickass pictures. On the other hand, I get 50 bucks back. Hooyah!
