Soooo, say I downloaded something, and just hypothetically let's call it Cloverfield. After I unzip the whole big package, I get all my nicely sized 14.3 mb files, and then all the pars and par2 files and junk, then when I try to unzip the 1st file, it gives me an error message about needing "filename.r08" to continue, but I don't have that. Obviously I'm bordering on retarded when it comes to this, and the Google did nothing for me, so I turn to you, oh mighty Wackbag. Shine your rays of wisdom upon me.

14.3MB for an hour and a half movie? Must look beautiful.

The 14.3MB would be the individual RAR file. Of which there'd be like 80 or 90.

The PAR and RAR should be in the same folder. Run the PAR and it'll rebuild the missing chunk.

It's a telesync. It's the only legit copy I've been able to find, everything else has been fake.

I used QuickPAR before I tried extracting, but it still gave me the error message. I'll try that again I guess.

Usually when I run quickpar it rebuilds everything up to whatever percentage was programmed. A few times it built whole files. I just set it to autorepair. How many rar files?

newsgroup for this one

That's the thing, I can't.

Edit: I just found a release from 3 hours ago, also a TS that I might try if this doesn't work. But I just deleted the folder, then extracted my original download and ran the pars again, and it looks like it's rebuilding them this time... weird.

Thanks for the help, for some reason it worked when I did it this time. Only problem now is IMDB has the film listed as an 85 minute runtime, but this movie is only 73 minutes. Does the run time include credits, and are the credits ever 12 minutes long?

Well, it wasn't the worst bootleg I've ever seen, but I've definitely seen better TS copies before.

I've seen it. Trying to film a video camera movie with a video camera doesn't work. You can't see shit most of the time.

This is the worst possible movie to watch a TS/CAM of, you'll be very disappointed if you even figure out how to properly extract it, so just see it in the movies or wait 3+ months for a decent copy.
