My daughter turned me on this one a couple days ago. It's called HeyTell. It's a quick and easy way to send a voice message walkie-talkie style (almost like the old Nextel phones). It's cool because it's cross-platform and is not carrier specific. You can send a message from a Sprint Android device to an ATT iPhone. Great for when you're driving around and don't feel like composing a text message. Has cool location features too.

Waze

Its a GPS/social networking app, it lets you know where red light cameras and cops are wherever you are.

Its GPS program is pretty good too.

I second Waze. Great program for long trips and speeding.

my post is pretty old, are you playing super stick man golf 2? or the first one?
Super stick man golf 2. Its extremely addicting. I'm on the city level and the best I can get is 8 above par, its causing expletive laced outbursts at work....

Sadly, I can't, although I very much want to, recommend anything for an iPod Touch.
Doing anything other than Skype/music/photos/video will not only turn it into
a molten piece of metal in your hand, but the fuckin' battery will drain so quick
you'll think there's a hole in it.

Skype and video files are the things that drain the ipod touch/iphone.

Music barely cracks a dent and same goes with photos.

Just found a deal on Slickdeals for a 60-day trial for Spotify...Offer ends today. Looks like you can cancel online before the 60-days is up and not get charged.

I had a 3-month free trial to Rdio that just expired, so the timing was good.
I really liked Spotify. If I commuted by train or could listen to music on my phone at the office I'd probably pay for it.
Only real downside was the interface was not conducive to in-car control, even on my Galaxy S3.

Any one know any good free rss readers?
Feedly. Set it up with all your RSS feeds, and then you can see them from the web and via the Feedly app. You can also use 3rd party readers like gReader with the Feedly service.

WRONG.
Precisely the things I list are the stuff that don't drain the battery.
Run any app, even an offline one, and you can literally watch the battery meter get shorter.
