My dumb ass brother deleted a video I had on my pc, and when I used an undelete program on it the thing comes up as damaged. I get an error 2048 when trying to view the thing. I tried it both on my pc and my mac, with the same results. This is a pretty important video, I don't want to lose it. Any ideas?

punch your brother, it might not fix your video but it will make you feel better, and shame on you for not backing it up

Try using Quicktime's "Import" setting to import it. Chances are it may work. Other than that, you can try copying the header from a MOV file that was created by the same device and see if that doesn't work. How big is the file? Can you put it up somewhere and let people have a go at it?
