Don't really have an all-encompassing GOP debate thread, thought it could go here. The CNBC one is starting right now. Cain got a huge ovation from the crowd.

I still don't know whether or not he's guilty of anything (even if most of the accusations are true), and I think a lot of people feel the same way. The only thing I've really heard that is bad is the accusation of offering a job for sex. I hate how everyone is calling these "unwanted sexual advances"... how the fuck do you know if a sexual advance is wanted or not until you do it? I've never gone up to a girl and stated "I'm considering a sexual advance towards you, and would like a little feedback before-hand on how it will be received"...

Well, technically if you're married, pretty sure that sexual advance is "unwanted" by your wife. :action-sm

The moderators tried asking about it and got booed pretty bad. Then they tried a follow up with Romney and he wouldn't touch it. The look on his face was the first time I've seen him flustered.

Newt comes across as a bitter angry old guy.
Bachmann is treading water staring into the camera with talking points.
Paul is doing pretty well attacking the financial regulations and healthcare and is getting strong applause.
Santorum also seems like a bitter angry guy. And his new haircut makes him look like a homo.
Cain just seems like he keeps repeating vague ideology without getting specific.
Romney seems scared and is talking too fast.
Perry seems to be trying to get back to his "folksy" way of talking. Wonder how much he's been drinking?
Oh, and there's some dude named Huntsman that I think is there...:

Rick Perry's probably feeling pretty shitty right about now.

You can also see how his confidence was just overflowing when he turned to Paul. Then he hit that brick wall. Then he backed up...and rammed right into the wall again...then backed up again, and rammed into the wall a third time. There was no escaping that. I'm sure he had down a few shots afterwards.

On another note...I've got a growing hatred for Bachmann and I want her to drop out. I'll say it right now, I like Palin more than I like Bachmann.

Was that brilliance on Paul's part, or just dumb luck, to feed a grasping Perry "EPA"..which Perry immediately retracted. Perry is GWB without Rove's hand up his ass.

Yup.

The fucker's been my governor for 8 years. He's a bumbling idiot that got handed the governor seat when W won the presidential elections, and basically he's been doing nothing and allowing the laws already in place in Texas to allow it to thrive.

I guess in that respect I like him, as he doesn't really stir shit up; but we need someone who can unfuck what the Obama/Pelosi crew have done, and Perry's just not the guy.

I haven't watched a single Rep.Debate, I just got the clip of Perry in my email by like 3 different people right away.
I was all-in on politics in 2007-2008, watched like 2-3 hours of political crap a day, was reading daily polls, etc. Then Obama won and I checked out...
It's too much.

As a casual politics fan at this point, there doesn't seem to be a lot of sexiness with the Rep. debates. Right?
Not like in 2007, at all. I guess having no incumbent helps, but still.

Ron Paul won the debate, but it doesn't matter. He said "eliminate the federal reserve" which is the end of ever being considered a candidate in the eyes of the "machine" that keeps us under the thumb of the true power that runs this country. If he is elected, plan on a horrific public execution.

Of the country, based on his horrible policies.

Ron Paul is a fucking moron.
