WWE is saddened to learn of the passing of William Moody, aka Paul Bearer. Moody made his WWE debut in 1991 as the manager of The Undertaker and went on to become a memorable part of WWE over the course of the next 20 years.
Our deepest condolences go out to Moody’s family, friends and fans.

Fuck. This sucks.

Will the guys that are going carry his casket be liable for copyright infringement?

Paul wasn't a wrestler. He was an obese manager.
Well he was back in the day...
He entered the wrestling business in his teenage years as a ringside photographer. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving four years on duty; during this time, he often wrestled for Indian Coast independent promotions during off-duty hours. In 1979, he began managing asPercival "Percy" Pringle, III in southeastern independent promotions. There had been previous Percy Pringles in wrestling who were not William Moody. Immediately after his first son's birth, he cut back his involvement in the wrestling business in order to obtain a degree in mortuary science and earn certification as a funeral director and embalmer.

Yeah he's from my city.... His sons my age. Used to know him in high school. He's a wrestler now too. Feel bad for him.... He was involved in wrestling forever. Apparently they had some local wrestling get together here over the weekend and people said he didn't look too hot. Damn shame. RIP

Goddammit. He was doing spectacular shoot promos with Cornette recently. I had no idea
he'd be dead in about 2 months.

Sad.
It is probably better just to assume that anyone over 50 and associated with professional wrestling could be dead in the next two months.

It is interesting though that Bearer really did study to be a mortician.

Meltzer said there is a push to get him inducted to HoF this year
I personally wouldn't do it unless Taker puts him in, but they don't even allow Taker at HoF so expect Kane instead

Inducting the late Paul Bearer is as a good time as ever to break character.

Seems like Taker is the only character they really protect. Even with the Flair "retirement"
Same with HBK, he came out & tipped the hat & left
That I don't mind bec its on RAW
But HoF, they break the walls anyway & having him in the audience should be OK

Vince is strange in what he considers "OK" & "not"
