A few days after it was known that WWE was taking another look at him & his brother ............................

ROH champion Jay Briscoe deleted his Twitter after he came under fire for crude comments made about his home State of Delaware legalizing same sex marriage.
Briscoe wrote, "The Delaware Senate passed a bill yesterday that allows same sex couples to get married. If that makes you happy, then congratulations!!!!!!"
He then followed up with, "... try and teach my kids that there's nothing wrong with that and I'll f**ing shoot you"
Several hours later, Briscoe responded to fan outcry online, noting that he was responding to the idea that anyone but his family should teach his children about the issue and admitted he chose his words poorly. Later on, he deleted the Twitter account.
Briscoe came under fire in 2011 for using a homophobic slur via Twitter when describing visiting New York City to compete on an ROH event the same day as the Gay Pride Parade.
Ring of Honor issued the following statement:
"Ring of Honor Wrestling respects and appreciates every fan regardless of age, gender, race, religion or sexual preference. The recent post by Jay Briscoe does not represent the views or opinions of Ring of Honor Wrestling, its owners, management or employees."
In this PC age, this might have fucked his immediate chances of getting the WWE call they been trying to.
By deleting his whole Twiiter, its obvious he knows this could be a big deal to WWE signing him now

I hate this PC crap, but it is the way it is

The outcry over Bubba Ray's "homophobic" remarks annoyed me more than this. At least this had an apparent threat of violence, so you can see why people would get upset. Either way, Jay's an idiot that possibly blew up his big chance with WWE.

You can never tell what will set Vince off or not, but the fact he was ROH champ will hurt Vince view of him. If he is the face of the company & doesn't realize how this is viewed than being in the public eye of WWE might not be a good idea

The Briscoes will never make WWE. This didn't change anything.

They cut amazing promos by the way. Just too niche for the E.
