Forgive me if this has already been posted, but Apple has recently released a public beta for the Mac "Safari 3 web browser", and it works on both Windows and Mac. I downloaded it, (I'm actually writing this post from within it), and it runs pretty well so far, it's kind of surreal to have a Mac program running on my Windows laptop. Definitely worth trying out and using.

Agreed, although I'm using it for like a test run, type thing, I still love Firefox. And, if I'm a little late to finding out and discussing this, sorry bout that people.

I like the safari browser. Mostly how it renders text But don't use it that much. Firefox is much better.

trying both this & the Firefox 3 beta 2 version... the FF beta load times have been even faster than 2.0... Safari doesn't seem to display some pages correctly..

I liked Safari also, but I just can't give up Firefox with all the addons and shit it has. I like that there's some Safari like themes to make Firefox look like it and I use those.

I really like it but I don't like the lack of a status bar at the bottom to avoid Meatspin links.

Edit: I stink, I found the status bar.

That's what I have. FireFox with a Safari skin. Looks nice and works great.

Eh, this is an older thread but whatever.

I downloaded Safari quite some time ago. Didn't do much with it. Tinkering with it today. Holy shit, is it fast. Pages load way faster than IE or Firefox. Apparently I have the latest version which is 4.0.3 and so far I really like it.

Then what happened? :action-sm

Maybe I'll give it a shot and download it. I'm pretty happy with Firefox...but I'm always looking for something faster.

I know it's not a big deal, which is why I figured I'd bump the existing thread. :)

I'm actually running it now. Noticeably faster than IE? Hell yes! And somewhat faster than Firefox. I'm kinda getting used to the bookmark bar. I'll run it for a little while to see how I like it. Overall...I'd already rate it way better than IE.

Its on my MacBook & iMac

I use FireFox on rare occasion when something like XM Online won't run on FireFox, I'll try Safari, if it won't run on Safari as well as FireFox, I've got an old shitty Acer with Windows XP to use Explorer. When the Acer dies, I'm not replacing it.

I'm surprised Apple isn't selling new computers with both OS X and Windows installed.
