So, I'm renting this today. I'll give a preliminary report this afternoon.
I'm thinking of renting this on my way home but I'm not sure I want to start a new game until I finish Bioshock Infinite. Also, my Saints Row 3rd character is on my PC. Life is HARD.
stores still exist where you can rent games? color me flabbergasted!
I don't know of stores that do, but there's a Redbox in my building that rents games.
that is quite excellent to know. all i know of redbox is their streaming service has shit for a selection and they're outside every 711.
thanks mr late to the party
you're welcome mr quoting a punctuation mark guy
nice ninja edit, embarrassed of your own inattentiveness.
not embarrassed, just have more going on at once than you do.
at the moment, no... would you like me to continue explaining the full benefits of a REDBOX machine to you, or would that leave you even more flabbergasted?
how bout you blow me?
Just because you talk to your mother like that, doesn't mean I have to stand for it... I'm done.
This game is wacky. If you thought SRIII was wacky, you know nothing Jon Snow. The number of pop culture references are rediculous. Hell, they are even littered throughout the character creation screen. It's fun, but feels more like Infamous than Saints Row.
I finally watched a video review on IGN of this yesterday and it did look way over the top even for Saints Row. The main dig the reviewer had with the game is that you were way too powerful, but I seem to recall at least with SR3 as you progressed some of the upgrades made you too powerful. Hell if you maxed out some of the upgrades you literally became invincible. By the end of the game you could just walk off the balcony of that penthouse suite safehouse you had without deploying the parachute.
Once you get super jump you don't even need to worry about heights. That's part of the issue, cars are almost useless.
I couldn't decide if that was an Ant reference or not.
If it's not, it's the most random connection ever (like Bonnie McFarlane on Red Dead). I lean towards that it's an O&A fan reference.
BTW, if you are a fan of Crackdown, I bet you will enjoy this as well. Lots of elements from that game.
Man I loved Crackdown. I might try this.
as per anthony's twitter, it is.
Ill probably buy this one later. They released it too close to GTA V for my taste and the price will drop by then.
