Looking for pros and cons of doing this work myself. After about 6 years our driveway is starting to fray a bit, is sealing it myself worth the effort? Any tips on best products to use? Thanks

My advice is to get it done once professionally with the hot tar stuff and then keep on it yourself each year.

I always do it myself. I use either raceway or airport grade sealer.

Goes on thick and lasts for years. It's easy to do. Just pour some out

of the tub and spread it around with a cheap, throw away floor brush

on a broom handle. Home Depot or Lowes can hook you up.

And get an acrylic based one rather then the cheaper tar based one...

And buy a cheap pair of shoes for the job that you won't care about tossing out after the job. No matter how much you try they will get that shit on them.

I would also recommend that for Mardi Gras in New Orleans as well...
