I bought a $310 watch from a company in GB called Marloe, the shipping to the USA was a total of $4.99 got here in like 3 days.

They have a return policy of 14 days full refund, and 21 day exchange.
So, I don't love the watch, it's a bit big... I decide to go to DHL and return it.

I say, here's all the info I need to send this back to GB and need tracking. They make some calls, say that with customs and fees/duties it's gonna be $142. I thought to myself, "Go fuck yourselves"
I took it to DHL because that's how it came.

So I went to UPS, they said it was gonna be $188!
So I went to the local post office, and they said $108 but no tracking of insurance.

Is this real life? I'd rather just throw the watch away than pay that to return it.
I guess I've never bought anything from "Overseas" before and returned it, it's not the companies issue but I suppose I can call them.
This is standard?

Post office is your cheapest option.

I like that watch. I'll buy it for $310 if you pay for shipping.

I've never owned a watch, ever. I happened to mention this to my Grandparents, who then said they're buying me a watch for my BDay.
That's the one I picked out.

It's 43MM, had no reference point, it's fine but a bit big. I also just don't really like things around my wrist. Point is, shipping something back to UK shouldn't be $100-$200 that's god damn insanity.

Depends how much your time is worth.
In Philidelphia, it's worth fifty bucks.

Love that movie. So 80s.

Why not just find someone taking a flight to England and entrust them with returning it for you?

To be honest, I didn't think $300 on a watch was that expensive...
But I'm not spending 33%-66% to return a product and not get said product, I'll just keep it

It’s not. Don’t listen to the bottom feeders.
