Let's open up with some news:

New faces, new headaches and a new look at the SAMCRO table are on tap for Sons of Anarchy Season 6, which this fall will pick up “probably just a matter of days” after the events of the last finale. Speaking with TVLine at FX’s Upfront party on Thursday night, here is what else series creator Kurt Sutter shared about the hit drama’s next cycle.

BIG TROUBLE | With Donal Logue back for at least seven episodes, Sutter says that former U.S. Marshall Lee Toric will prove to be a profoundly painful thorn in SAMCRO’s side. “We sort of fluctuate, where one season the adversary will be in the outlaw world and other seasons it’ll be someone from the law enforcement world — and the interesting thing about Donal’s character is he sort of falls in the middle,” Sutter explains. “He’s law enforcement, but he’s ex-law enforcement.” As such, “He’s probably the most dangerous adversary they’ve ever had in terms of his access to law enforcement information, yet he doesn’t necessarily have to follow all those rules.”

ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT | With Tara behind bars for her role in Otto’s murder of a prison nurse (aka Toric’s sister) — and just as she was set to leave town with the kids for a normal life! — the Tellers’ nascent union shall be tested. “You saw the beginning of the shift in that relationship at the end of last season, when Tara broke that news to Jax about wanting to get out with the boys,” Sutter notes. “[Tara's imprisonment] obviously has a big impact this season as far as where they are at emotionally. Can it be fixed? Does it bring them closer together? Or does it separate them more?”

CHANGES AT CHURCH | When the show returns, “There will be a new VP” in place, given Bobby’s resignation at the close of Season 5. “And there will be a new sergeant-at-arms.” Sutter, however, wasn’t about to name names.

NEW FACES | In addition to Logue’s return and Jimmy Smits being promoted to a series regular (as Nero), Season 6 will add two new characters still to be cast. One Sutter describes as “an old-school shot-caller that’s out of Stockton,” while the other is a major female character who is “in sort of the escort world.”

I don't know. I wish I was more excited about this show. It just feels like it's spinning its wheels so often.

Can not wait. Chibs will become V.P. and maybe Tig gets his patch back? Or a promotion for Juice.

I agree, but this major change in the structure, with new cast and different roles for a lot of the existing players has potential.
Clay with a spinoff gun running operation, the new porn shop.. It looks like a basis for a great story.
I like that there will probably be less Tara, I was never a big fan of the mom/wife catfighting.

The problem isn't Tara. The problem is Gemma.

The entire show is about pretending to trust people you don't trust who know you don't trust them. Basically, it's a show built around bad communication and inability to open up. And while I know that's part of the life, it gets very redundant. Don't get me wrong, there are good moments, but it's gotten incredibly repetitive. Especially Clay. Clay should have been killed by now, and it's not like these people have any honor.

And jax is more cold blooded. Point?
Hamlet is a more interesting character than Jax. And not as melancholy. Despite his renown for being melancholy.

I love this show, but any kind of organized crime operation would have killed off Clay by now.

Plus its just way too early in the year to get excited about a show that is not coming back until the fall. Especially this one.

I cannot see Jax promoting Juice so quickly after ratting, killing a PH & trying to commit suicide

I could see Juice and Tig both going over to the Clay faction.
They are both somewhat damaged for fitting with either side, so either way
they decide to do it, should be interesting.

I don't see a "Clay Faction" & no fucking way will Tig & Juice go. They owe their lives to Jacks & Juice turned on Clay

You don't see the setup for Clay running the guns and drugs that Jax wants to get out of as a separate organization? And pulling in his old Sergeant and forgiving Juice just to get some muscle to make it work? That would leave SOA with the porn shop, Nero, and all the fallout from the split to deal with, as well as all the shit Toric throws in the mix.

Now that I think about it more, I kind of hope they don't do that, it sounds too complicated.

No I don't & if he gets out of prison alive, I don't see an SOA exodus
The only reason Juice & Tig are alive is Jax
I see Clay skimming the cat many times in prison & that is his storyline

The SoA is probably the least honorable, least organized, least respectable crime syndicate I've ever seen on television/movies and what, they needed proof to have Clay killed? And even after they had all the information, they still refused to do it. Why? Did they need Filthy Phil's approval?

Eh I mainly brought this here so we wouldn't stuck with a thread title like "3/31/13 Let's Talk About SoA Rumors and News, Tuesdays on Fox, 10 pm!"

Jax can't get rid of Clay the way Clay got rid of John.
As back-stabbey as they all are, I assume that's a line Jax can't bring himself to cross.

At this point it feels more based due to behind-the-scenes antics (popularity of Perlman, inability of Sutter to shake things up, etc.) than believable character motivation.
