Hope it's as good as the British version (Series 1). I heard that that show was fuckin' brill.

Cinemax are running this on every single one of their channels tonight at 9. I think I'll check it out.

Do you need to watch the first series or can you just jump in on this?

The show just premiered last night. There is only one episode.

But read the original post. He said the British Version was like Series 1 and this is Series 2 (Series is the British way of saying Season). I was just wondering if that meant they had the same plot.

Plus, one of the channels is airing the A-Team right after.

My mistake. I wasn't aware there was a British series. The way Cinemax were making it sound this was a first run original series.

Watching now. Gotta love that it's R rated. Tits and salty language rule.

Why is the episode on one channel 15min longer than the others?

I wondered that myself. I think they'll just shove some commercials and one of their short featurettes on the tail end.

You can just jump in on this. I know you know that now Neon, because you've seen it already, but, I'm just answering in case anyone else was interested.

Series 1 was all about Porter (Richard Armitage), the soldier who was captured and killed in episode 1 of Series 2.

Yeah, definitely worth following.
Agreed. Off to a pretty good start. I thought the two main actors, the Brit and the Yank, both did a good job.

it disobeyed the golden rule... No sex before a fight. Everyone knows Women weaken legs.

I'm on the fence, but I'll end up watching it.

I found it infuriating that they didn't suspect the old guy at all in the hotel, and the American didn't recognize him, and all of his bullshit suspicious question asking didn't perk any concern, and OH LOOK! Turns out he's the bad guy! Fucking annoying.

I dig the intro (song AND graphics). It's up on YT (FTTB).

"Pretty nifty how they're being realistic with the action"

*American kicks tray into elevator door*

"Well then."

I thought the two main actors, the Brit and the Aussie, both did a good job.
Fixed. Mind blown. I heard him talking with an Aussie accent in one of those behind the scenes clips, and looked him up to confirm it.

Ep 2 was really good.

My favourite scene was the savage being taken out by the sniper as he crossed outside to the balcony

Ok, the end of episode 2 got me. I'll be watching intently.
I'm not sure I'm hot on the whole
evil organization that was going to plant WMDs in Iraq, especially if it is a group of white people. "We're the real terrorists, MAAAAAN!!!!" and such.

I'm reserving judgement, though. I'm enjoying it so far.

I know you were a fan of Rubicon. How would this would be any different from that

I watched the first two episodes last night and I'm on board. I have to say I'm impressed. I wasn't expecting anything like this from Cinemax.

I knew that the colonel from Pakistani intelligence was going to turn out to be Latif

I wasn't so hot about that plot initially, but Rubicon pulled it off. Maybe this will too. As I said, I am reserving judgement. After the first episode, people said: "How could the American not recognize Latif?" and called it a plot hole, yet it was immediately addressed in episode 2. That is a positive indicator for the future.
