This popped up tonight.
When I was 16, I seriously spent 2 years trying to hunt down "Join The Army"

"Rotten Apples" by the Smashing Pumpkins. I love the music, but the vocals are drippy, disposable nonsense. I wish I could find an instrumental version of it.

I am a sucker for a cheesy harmony, especially if it brings me back to the AM radio in my Dad's Pinto station wagon.

How the fuck did this happen? I didn't even hear the fucking thing and it still wedged itself into my brain.

I went a few months without getting stuck on any particular track.

And then I watched Slap Shot.

I'm not sure how this got in my head, since I'm pretty sure I haven't heard it anywhere in the past decade.

At least I finally got stuck on a good one.

I could've gotten stuck on Traffic-era Steve Winwood, and I would've been OK with that. But no. I got stuck on cheesy-synthesizer/multi-track-vocal/beer-commercial-era Steve Winwood.

My wife just added that to her morning playlist

So I sing the words to When You See A Chance and play the synth parts with the ‘ol mouth trumpet......she doesn’t like it
