Post shit you remember as a kid that's been just about forgotten in the modern age.



These used to be huge in the NY area back in the 80's, but got pushed out once Blockbuster moved into the region. The local one was about twice the size of any Blockbuster I ever saw.

Didn't RKO have some sort of box that played movie trailers in the middle of the store? I remember watching a Nightmare on Elm Street V: the Dream Child ad on it.

Got bought by WalMart (well in Canada) any way... remember going there as there was a liquor store beside it... where you actually filled out a slip and a guy went to the back and picked your booze for ya.

We had one of those near my house. It was kind of a big deal when a Robert Redford movie filmed a scene in the loading bay area behind it.

*edit* Never mind, that was behind the Modell's a few blocks away.
