I wonder, given the Discovery issue, if there would be a CBS restriction on Trek people appearing as guest stars in this. You know McFarlane probably expects to do it as he did in American Dad.

I highly doubt that any of the old Trek folks are under contract. They just can't appear in character.

What can you do to Jonathan Frakes that's worse than letting him live as Jonathan Frakes?

Seth MacFarlane has that kind of oily-looking baby face that can be scientifically correlated to pedophilia. R-squared is about 0.9999. This trailer is very good but this oily faggot won't be able to resist turning it into a normal-human-bashing persuasion piece.

Seth is the only thing that could tank this; seriously. I can see from the trailer alone now, that this IS better than Discovery, which is a fucking shame.

Looks good. I am in.

Galaxy Quest is the best Star Trek movie of the 90's.

The second they announced that "Discovery" wasn't being set some time after Voyager I tapped out on it.

A movie, maybe.
A TV series? Nope.
There's a few funny things there, but I don't think there's enough funny things to float a show on. And by that, I mean that I don't think that Seth MacFarlane is capable of finding enough funny things to float this show on. There are many people who are (like Trey Parker and Matt Stone), but Seth isn't one of them.

ST Discovery looks like a PC shit hole of a show. Leave the SJW's in the dumpster, where they belong.

There were some legit funny moments. Hell, I even liked Sarah Silverman...and I usually want to watch her choke to death
MacFarlane goes for the lowest joke possible if left to run wild. He needs someone to challenge him. Tell him to knock off the shit and let the jokes follow.

They'll establish by S1E1 that there's a sister ship called the Wilbur

Reviews are starting to come in. The general consensus seems to be that it doesn't work as a comedy or a sci fi show.

Other than Spectrum, MD, I don't think I'm looking forward to another new show this year.
