In. So so so in.
Looks like it's going to be pretty bad.
Looks like Abe Sapian meets the guy from Crysis.
Oh look, Falldog doesnt like something. Shocker.
Looks very Ghost in the Shell to me. Im in.
Except that in GitS, the robot IS the cops.
Well I didnt say it WAS GitS. It still looks cool, even though I wonder about the weird flat lens eyes being able to generate stereoscopic images. Maybe I am thinking too much about this.
The flat glass could just be a protective sealed cover for circular lens eyes (like wearing glasses). Keeps the eye mechanisms free of dirt and shit.
Good point, I suppose that I was hung up on the angle of the lenses but Ill stop trying to pick nits.
You need to think less. Focus on the over dramatized acting, the cheap special effects, and the generic direction.
You really are a miserable creature.
Looks good to me.
They say ignorance is bliss
Here's my thoughts. It seems like it will be the type of movie where a first time (well second time) writer/director is more interested in the concept/special effects than the story. It becomes just short of being a good movie, but one where you're still like "I'm interested in what he can do as a more mature filmmaker."
A lot of movies are based in the same set of ideas (ideas people like Ray Kurtzweil came up with/are promoting). But Ghost in the Shell is one of the few that actually conveyed those ideas in an intelligent manner. I seriously doubt this will do that.
Looks interesting but I want to see another trailer before being all in.
