The Triumph of Liberalism... and the epic failure of a dolt!

#1
I am sur that we will talk about the ramifications of the election soon enough, and what it means for the country.

But let me tell you...this was an almost perfect night not just for Democrats but for LIBERALS in particular.

5 REASONS

1. TEA PARTY BECOMING A LIABILITY TO THE REPUBLICANS
-That lunatic Tea Party guy Allen West lost.
-Another Tea Partier featured at the RNC, Mia Love lost IN UTAH.
-Another Tea Partier Joe Walsh loses...to a disabled woman, Tammy Duckworth, a veteran of the war in Iraq and a double amputee.

2. GOOD NEWS
-Mourdock and Akin, the r@pe tag team lost.
-Linda McMahon lost.
-Scott Brown lost in Massachusetts. Ted Kennedy's seat is back.
-Joe Kennedy III, grandson of RFK won. We have a Kennedy in Washington again (Barney Frank's old congressional district).

3. DIVERSITY
-We got 4 new women, including an Asian and a Lesbian in the Senate. Ami Bera won too...an Indian in Congress.
-The two Muslims in Congress won...Andre Carson (IN) and Keith Ellison (MN)
-We got Tulsi Gabbard and Mazie Hirono, the first Hindu in Congress, and the first Buddhist in the Senate, respectively.

4. THE FUTURE
-I think that crazy Michelle Bachmann will hold on but by a razor thin margin despite re-disricting. Star candidate + fundraising in a non-Presidenial year means she will be toast soon enough.
-Florida votes NO on the proposition to limit Obamacare.
-Florida votes NO on the proposition to ban public funds for abortions.
-Maryland allows gay marriage.
-Massachusetts allows Medical marijuana.
-Minnesota rejects the banning of gay marriage. Washington too.
-Washington and Colorado legalize marijuana.
-There are 4 Supreme Court justices in their mid to late 70s, and 1 is a swing vote, 1 is the most conservative.

5. DIVERSITY (PART 2)
-Latinos saved Obama in Nevada and Colorado. He got 87% in Colorado from them (up from 2008) and they urned out in droves and were 18% of the vote in Nevada.
-CNN reported that Latino voters made up 10 percent of the overall electorate in early exit polls.
-Latinos made up 7.4 percent of the overall vote in 2008.
-Young (18-29) voters were about 19% of the electorate. New high.
-Black turnout was good again: Reports say heavy African American turnout in Philadelphia, Detroit, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Miami changed the dynamic in four battleground states.
-In Florida Blacks, Hispanics and Asians made up 30% of the electorate.
One exit poll showe Obama won Asians 73-26
-Obama got 70% of the Jewish vote according to Exit Polls.

If these trends continue, the liberalization of this great counry continues...its fucking awesome to think what the future will hold...

Just what we need. Some fucking hayseed gloating because his guy won. Liberal policies aren't the better policies. Especially when all they want is more power through government. I detest conservative social policies, but I detest even more liberal fiscal policies. Stay the fuck out of my bank account. We won't have any sort of future if liberals keep giving handouts.

Think what you want, but this is hardly a triumph of liberalism. This is a sad state of America where those receiving entitlements outnumber those paying in to the system.

You're not this great thinker. You're just a douche.

Edit to add: What a great liberal triumph to see Jesse Jackson Jr win his seat while he's in treatment. Just goes to show you how fucking stupid liberals are. He shouldn't have even been in the race, much less win.

Just think, all that work you did and you won't even get offered a position in DC.

I hope the satisfaction you got by volunteering outweighs the bitterness of all the lick asses who got a ticket to DC because mommy and daddy contributed a ton of cash to a campaign while you and everyone else gets the shaft.

Good Luck and I'm happy you're getting drunk tonight. Tomorrow when you're in your alcohol induced haze you'll still be a zero.

I hope this cunt drunk drives and kills himself. Then his body is dug up and desecrated. Nothing worse than an asshole who brags about winning.

I ain't a volunteer although I started volunteering on campaigns when I was 15...
Got the job that put me through college through volunteering on campaigns.
Got my first paid campaign gig in 2008 on top of my job.
I have a good gig now and I don't wanna leave Seattle so I would never go to DC.

Some of us don't do things for perks, we do it because we believe in the values our nation was founded on.

Show us where this nation was founded on liberal ideals.
Too tired. Its 3 am here. We can continue this later though. Thanks for askin this question and not just resorting to insults because you disagreed with my post.

As I posted earlier tonight somewhere here, time to get behind whoever won.

Whatever it takes to numb your senses to bleak reality of what lies in store.

I tell u one thing...conservatives in Canada, Australia and the UK have abandoned the social shit to a degree and it works electorally.

Libs know this here...and they do fear a moderate republican party in all honesty.

You just finished explaining how Romney won among whites by 20%. How the fuck is that a triumph for liberalism?

You really think most minorities voted Obama over an ideology pushed by white elitists in Ivy League universities?

Immigrants never lead this country, they always assimilated into the culture, not the other way around. That's what they will do this time too. Among whites, "liberalism" is on its way out, and hispanics will gradually follow that trend.

With any luck, these next four years, and the almost inevitable recession, will be the final nail in the coffin of "liberalism". And by liberalism, I mean socialism. Because that's what you're actually talking about, not liberty.

It's the triumph of an ignorant electorate. I include those that believe the government has bottomless deep pockets, and the money comes from the rich who didn't earn it, and don't need it.

Nah. It's the failure of a party beholden to Jesusers. They can't stay out of gays' lives, school's science curriculums, or women's wombs.

In my opinion, this isn't so much a triumph of liberalism as it is a failure of punditry. I sincerely believe that if the press had treated the Obama administration anywhere near the way they treated Bush, we would have been looking at a different winner right now.

I'm also annoyed at the ability of conservative political writers to dust themselves off and say "well, I guess all that yelling and screaming I did was wrong. Moving along then..." Sorry, but I don't buy that. There's a bunch of people on the right that have lost a lot of credibility in my book because of this result.

I hate that Hack Hoagie Down is in the same state as me.

Good day for Washington Initiative wise, horrible day candidate wise. Getting ready for a tax reaming. Nothing the democrats in this state like more is to find new ways to waste taxpayer funds. Conduct another study, cunts.

At least our new shit dick Governor didn't have to steal the election like that cunt Gregiore managed.
