This is why I don't think Qadaffi is going to lose power any time soon.
1.) We're highly unlikely to kill him with airstrikes. Airstrikes are a shitty assassination tool.
2.) Airpower by itself doesn't win wars. Without at least the threat of a ground war, airpower by itself has never won a war. It's just a really expensive way to make your displeasure known.
3.) The Libyan rebels are not an effective ground component to the war.
IMO, we're just wasting a few billion in munitions in Libya. If we'd gone in earlier by just two weeks, it would be over already with the rebels in charge. As it is, it'll take a much, much, much more expensive campaign to get rid of Qadaffi.
