Good show with great writing. Really changed when Arron Sorken left. I haven't watched it in a while. Might be time to re-watch it. Bartlets youngest daughter is Peggy on Madmen.

This show was awesome even though it leaned very heavily to the left. The writing was great especially since the prez never was going to be the focal point and had limited time. Shows what a great actor and just as good writing can do to change that. Fast paced, witty talking, with high end comedy(yes it made me laugh at times) is worth watching multiple times

The Thanksgiving episode when Pres. Bartlett calls the Butterball turkey hotline was fantastic. " If I cook it [stuffing] inside the turkey, is there a chance I could kill my guests? I'm not saying that's necessarily a deal-breaker."

Toby's great, but some of my favorite exchanges have been with Josh and Donna.

Best show ever IMO. Bought all seasons on DVD. It was a big deal in my household when it went off the air, thought hubby would be suicidal.

Used to watch it all the time when it was on AMC. Have the DVD box now, just need the time to get back into it.

So I started watching this an how amazing was season 1 episode 9 "The Short List". They are nominating a judge for the supreme court and Rob Lowe's character correctly points out in 1998 (filmed) that the next 20 years will be all about privacy...the internet, cell phones, medical data...geez they hit that head on...especially looking at the recent enlightenment regarding the NS@
Sam Seaborn: It's not just about abortion, it's about the next 20 years. In the '20s and '30s it was the role of government. '50s and '60s it was civil rights. The next two decades are going to be privacy. I'm talking about the Internet. I'm talking about cell phones. I'm talking about health records and who's gay and who's not. And moreover, in a country born on the will to be free, what could be more fundamental than this?
what amazingly insightful writing....

Finished it a few months ago. Hated the lib spin on everything but the show is great.
watched the last season as the same time as the last season of Sons Of Anarchy aired. Too see Jimmy Smits as the presidential candidate vs jimmy Smits the OG was quite bizzare. Dude can act.

I'm surprised we haven't seen her in anything else. I'll still do periodic web searches for Janel Moloney, hoping to see some skin.

So I have noticed that Rob Lowe is doing Literally the same character on parks and rec...only a little more intense...as Sam Seaborn...

Just finished...Good show...one interesting point is they keep pointing to the Republicans as causing this deficit but the democrats are the ones spending all the money...I guess it is fiction...I think it gave a realistic insight into what that world is like..

Well, you see, if the Republicans would just let the Democrats tax people as much as they'd like to, everything would be great!

I like to do research into old shows as I watch them and it was noted that there were no conservative writers on the show...ever...and..
I don't buy for a second that vinick as supposed to win the election...they would never have done that. They said they changed the storyline when John Spencer died in real life...If they had integrity and were REAL writers they would not change the story because he died...Imagine their dumb luck that they didn't have Leo at the season 7 flash forward to the Bartlette library...but that was a pretty major spoiler...

I thought the second from last episode, where CJ entertains job offers from billionaires, was maybe one of the best hours of television ever...

Really? I thought it was kind of silly and self indulgent. Why wouldn't we expect her to get great job offers...I thought it would have focused more on how her and Danny would have a baby 3 years later...you can't grow fruit in a desert...
