The "what are you watching" thread

I recorded "The Sopranos" of HBO2 as they were doing a marathon, and now I'm binging. There's so much I missed or don't remember from the first time around.

Fun fact: Steve Schirippa (Bobby Bacala) was the entertainment director at the Riviera Hotel-Casino before he turned to acting. He hired an Air Force chaplain to work at the wedding chapel. My aunt got a job there as a florist, and those two eventually got married. So the way I see it, Tony Soprano's brother-in-law brought him to our family.
You were almost 9-11'ed!!

Just watch biggest pile of shit I've seen in a long time, 400 Days. Got everything, bad acting, cheap set, shitty story progression, and fucking want to kill someone ending.

I finished watching The Ranch. The quality took a hit from Danny Masterson being fired for raype accusations. They replaced him with Dax Shepard. They did leave it open for a possible return of Masterson, hopefully they will bring him back. They got my hopes up and made it look like Peyton Manning was going to make an appearance but it never happened, huge let down.

Yeah, we really need to see Peyton on screen.

I blew through "You" on Netflix while I was up here in Philly for work. I just finished watching "The Last Laugh" while sitting here in the airport waiting to go home.

Just started rebinging Game of Thrones in anticipation of this season......It's like watching a whole new show now that I know who the major players are at the end.

Has anyone else seen this gem of a show called DROPPIN' CASH: LOS ANGELES. Although a more appropriate title would be DUMB RICH ******S PISS AWAY THEIR TEMPORARY WEALTH ON STUPID SHIT.

It's a show for people who find MTV CRIBS too high-brow. It basically follows a bunch of rappers as they go and spend ungodly amounts of money on jewellery and clothes and all other manner of bullshit. It's delightful. There's a dykey one who sounds exactly like Snoop from THE WIRE who seems a decent sort.

The one whitey on the show is Aussie rapper Iggy Azalea. I'm convinced her ass is fake, but at least she has kept her accent. Who knows, maybe her ass captures the souls of all the knee-grows she fucks and that's why it has gotten so big. Maybe it's like the Ghostbusters' containment unit, only instead of Slimer in there it's DeMarcus, Keyshawn and LaVonte.

Anyway, peep this shit. The monkey story is pretty awesome:

Murder Mountain. It's a docu series on Netflix about outlaws growing weed in northern CA.

Educational and entertaining with a missing-person drama running through 6 episodes.

I watched 4 today. It's really good.

I liked this, but I think it would have been better if they had just separated it into two docs. Like, you'll start getting into the missing persons story, and it just jumps back to the growers and the problems that come with legalization.

Super Bowl Question.

Will there be something like Cloverfield: The Movie That Killed Cloverfield that is announced/released during the Bowl?

Super Bowl Question.

Is there going to be a crazy unexpected trailer? Like episode 9?

Super Bowl Question.

Brisket or pulled pork nachos?

Okay, now that I'm not on my phone I'll expand a little more on The Punisher. I watched season 1 and found it to be...okay, I guess. There's nothing overly offensive to it (a few things to groan at), but it definitely drags for a while. It's exactly what you expect it to be.

As for season 2, everything you expect happens again and getting a bit silly. I know we have to suspend disbelief about coincidences necessary to move the story forward, but that but that's tough to do when the setting is in a rural Michigan bar. It's just so lazy, although, maybe the fans don't care about the story and just want to see the Punisher do some punishing. There's plenty of that so far.

I’m a few episodes in and quite like it, but I’m admittingly loving the punishing part too.

Will a bunch of faggy pop acts play half time in a cynical attempt to get women to watch, while the men leave the room and go outside to drink more beer once the ads are done?
