Go with a Family share plan if you have more than one phone on the same account. However, I've noticed that Verizon coverage is pretty shitty in Chicago. Try before you buy.

I have the 1400 minute family plan with 4 phones on it. 3 phones are Android w/ data plans. The other is my mother-in-law's basic phone.

They let you put in 10 friends/family non-Verizon numbers that won't use your minutes. I put in the people I call most often related to work.

Nights/weekends also applies to long distance, if i am not mistaken.
