The show centers on two detectives whose lives collide and entwine during a seventeen-year hunt for a serial killer in Louisiana. The investigation of a bizarre murder in 1995 is framed and interlaced with testimony from the detectives in 2012, when the case has been reopened.
I liked it and I thought makeup/costume design did a good job of making Matthew and Woody look 20 years younger. Interesting ending.
It does remind of The Wire, but with a more serious tone. I like it so far, I wish there was a bit more humor in he show. It also gives me a no country for old men vibe. I love that Clarke Peters makes a cameo and that Micheal Potts is one of the main characters.
After only one episode, I'm hooked. Even though most of the story takes place in 1995, it really doesn't feel dated. If that makes sense. Its amazing how much they made Woody Harrelson look like he did 20 years.
McConaughey looked way young. I think it had a lot to do with him filming this after Dallas Buyers Club. I also wonder if one of the two cops is the murderer. I wouldn't be surprised if that happens. You know a show is good when you wake up and you are still thinking about the episode.
They want us to believe that McC is the murderer so of course my mind automatically suspects Woody. Classic misdirection but I'm hoping they aren't that formulated.
I really want to know what happened Matthew's character. When he's revealed I thought they were interviewing him in prison. He looked like hammered shit.
Yeah, it will be interesting to discover why they had their falling out. Lots of questions already mounting.
He's definitely a suspect. Like FBF said, I hope it's not a misdirection and Woody is the new killer. Very excited for the rest of this, including Alexandra Daddario's upcoming NSFW scene(s). Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler
I immediately dismiss any thread on the internet as not being worth reading if it does not include this photo.
BTW She shows up for all of five seconds and you instantly know that Martin is cheating on his wife with her.
The first episode was superb. I seriously doubt one of the cops is the killer though. But the two black cops seem to suspect that The Taxman is either the killer or a copycat. Woody is hitting it. I have a feeling The Taxman is gonna be hitting Michelle Monaghan instead.
Well, that would explain the falling out. How do we know Woody is hitting it? Did I miss something? Was it in the preview because I didn't watch that?
