Trump: I'll overrule Sessions on criminal justice reform
10/11/18

President Trump on Thursday said he would overrule Attorney General Jeff Sessions if he tries to stymie efforts to overhaul the criminal justice system.

“If he doesn't, then he gets overruled by me,” Trump said when asked during an interview with “Fox & Friends” about Sessions's opposition to the effort.

“There has to be a reform because it's very unfair right now,” the president added. “It's very unfair to African-Americans. It's very unfair to everybody. And it's also very costly.”

Sessions, a law-and-order candidate who became estranged from Trump over the Russia probe, played a role in successfully urging the president to put off action on criminal justice reform before the midterm elections.

Trump's comments come hours before he's scheduled to have lunch with the rapper Kanye West and former NFL star Jim Brown, who are expected to urge Trump to move forward with sentencing and prison reforms.

The president heaped praise on West and Brown, saying the support from the rapper caused his approval among African-Americans to shoot up "like 25 percent" because "he's got a big following in the African-American community."

"First of all, I like him a lot," Trump said of West. "He's a friend of mine. I've known him for a long time. He's a different kind of guy. He's a very different kind of a guy, I say that in a positive way."

NEWSFLASH: The Trumpster closing ranks. :haha7:

Trump pledges to 'weed out' administration officials he does not trust
10/11/2018

President Donald Trump said Thursday that he will "weed out" individuals inside his administration who he does not like, echoing remarks from his wife, who told ABC News that there are people working for her husband who she does not trust.

During a live phone interview Thursday morning with Fox News' "Fox & Friends," the president said "it was more true" in the past, when he was first establishing himself in Washington, that he distrusted members of his administration. But he cited U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, who announced her resignation this week, as an example of the "great people" who now fill his administration.

Trump said he would do away with those he does not like.

"Are there some I'm not in love with? Yes. We'll weed them out slowly," the president said.

Trump also identified Secretary of State Mike Pompeo as "a star" of his administration, specifically highlighting his negotiations with North Korea. Trump unceremoniously fired Pompeo's predecessor, Rex Tillerson, last spring amid reportedly simmering tensions between Trump and Tillerson and rumors Tillerson had called the president a "f------ moron."

Kanye West to meet Trump at White House
Oct 11, 2018

Kanye West, the at times controversial rapper-turned-prison reform activist, is slated to meet and have lunch with President Donald Trump at the White House on Thursday.

The president and rapper are slated to discuss prison reform, the African American unemployment rate and the surge in violence in West's hometown of Chicago, according to a statement from White House press secretary Sarah Sanders. West is also expected to bring Jim Brown, a former star running back for the Cleveland Browns and someone who has previously spoken with Trump about issues impacting the black community.

In an interview on Fox and Friends on Thursday, Trump spoke glowingly about the rapper calling him "a friend of mine." On Tuesday, Trump called West " a terrific guy" and someone who "loves what we're doing for African-American jobs."

West's wife, Kim Kardashian West, has visited the White House twice this year – most recently in Septemeber – to discuss prison reform with the president as well as with Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner.

In May, Kardashian West met with President Trump in the Oval Office to talk about prison reform and clemency for Alice Marie Johnson. The 63-year old grandmother was serving a life sentence on drug charges. Shortly after Kardashian West’s meeting with the president about Johnson, the president commuted the grandmother’s sentence.

A complete shitshow is the Oval Office. If you don't love the Trump administration, then I just can't even understand you, and you have my sympathy, because this is the greatest shitshow on Earf, and only a completely joyless cunt could not love this.

There's a lot of similarities between him and Nixon. But Nixon was more of an asshole, Trump is more like that fun drunk uncle that's fun to laugh at. He's more Franko than Nixon.

It's so much fun. It matters not to my life, but I will spend all of the Christmas season laughing my balls off if the dems fail in their attempt to gain the chambers.
