UFC 159: Jones vs Sonnen

Date: April 27, 2013
Location: Newark, New Jersey
Venue: Prudential Center
Broadcast: Pay-per-view, FX, Facebook

MAIN CARD (Pay-per-view, 10 p.m. ET)
PRELIMINARY CARD (Facebook, 6:30 p.m. ET)

This looks like a very solid card. I'm still not sure how Chael deserves a title shot at 205, but hey, whatever sells PPVs. Looking forward to Kongo/Nelson and the Russian Suplex Machine vs some undefeated guy named Yancy.

DR. Jimcy M.E.

I bring love and cheer.

Jones is going to have such a reach advantage in this fight that I can't see how Chael can win. Look how fucking tall he is.

I like Chael, I think he's the future of MMA broadcasting, but I don't see him walking away from this fight without gashes from elbows.

I'll give em a state, a state of unconsciousness
Not a bad card.

Watching Sonnen's dumb ass get stopped again will of course be fun. And Jonny's the 2nd best guy to do it.

Belcher and Bisping's a mismatch, but Bisping's had so much hooplah throughout his career that he's practically a legend in terms of fan recognition. He's gonna get beat though. Belcher is AWN.

I don't care who Big Country fights, he'll always be the main event on any card ... and in my heart.

Another great Jim Miller brawl hopefully.

MAIN CARD (Pay-per-view, 10 p.m. ET)

Jon Jones vs. Chael Sonnen - for light-heavyweight title
Alan Belcher vs. Michael Bisping
Cheick Kongo vs. Roy Nelson
Phil Davis vs. Vinny Magalhaes
Pat Healy vs. Jim Miller

Johnny Bedford vs. Bryan Caraway
Ovince St. Preux vs. Gian Villante
Sheila Gaff vs. Sara McMann
Rustam Khabilov vs. Yancy Medeiros

PRELIMINARY CARD (Facebook, 6:30 p.m. ET)

Leonard Garcia vs. Cody McKenzie
Nick Catone vs. James Head
Kurt Holobaugh vs. Steven Siler

Sonnen is going to pressure Jones as soon as the bell rings, go for the TD, get stuffed and Jones will take over from there. I don't see how this fight gets past the 3rd.

Belcher over Bisping with a KO similar to the one Hendo landed would be amazing.

Nelson usually beats the likes Kongo

Davis over Magalhaes in a bad stand up fight.

Healy getting a rough welcome back to the UFC. He's a solid fighter, but Miller is a better version than him.

The night has finally come. The night that history is made. The longest reigning champion in the history of the UFC, the People's Champion, has come to fulfill the promise he made to his dying father, the 1 promise he's failed to keep. To win the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship. He won the Middleweight title and he defended it 3 times, but that wasn't the goal. The goal was to cement his legacy as the 185, 205, WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF, Ring Magazine Undisputed Open Weight Champion Of The World.

And tonight is that night.

Hate & Discontent

Yo, homie. Is that my briefcase?
I might actually watch this tonight if I can find a good feed.

Sent from the USS Sulaco.

Nick Catone vs James Head has been scratched from the lineup. Catone went to the hospital for dehydration (he came in overweight).

That was some bullshit, fuck that ref.

Free Shit / Socialism 2016
If the judges had any balls they would have each scored that third round whatever it took to make the fight a draw on their card.

Completely inexcusable reffing

Refuses to show video, just a fucking ad for a video plugin.

Navigate to the fight and try a couple different links. I think I'm on link 7 which is a good stream.

EDIT: Oh, and right now you have to click on the prelim fights. Wont start showing links to the main event until it starts.

Scraping a dull blade across your tender eyeball
Where did Jones come up with all this shit talking that Chael was supposedly doing? He was a gentleman about the whole thing on O&A and TUF.

Scraping a dull blade across your tender eyeball
Gaff has a fucking CHIN.

I found 7 to be tinny. Try 2 or 6.
