I guess I'll start this nonsense.

Spoilers for Smackdown (but are they really spoilers since none of us watch it anyway?)

WWE Smackdown TV taping report
April 30, 2013
Detroit, Mich.
Report by Ron Roberts, PWTorch reader

Smackdown SPOILERS 5/3

Ryback came out to a decent pop and cut a promo about John Cena being hurt. He said the Law of Nature dictates that only the strong survive, and the crowd answered with an annoying "What?" chant.

(1) Ryback beat WWE tag champion Daniel Bryan with Shell Shock. Ryback looked quite awkward in the ring with someone at Bryan's skill level.

(2) Fandango beat Zack Ryder. Huge pop for Fandango's entrance, and jobber entrance for Ryder. Zero heat during the match.

A video aired of Kaitlyn receiving another gift from her secret admirer. She saw Natalya and Great Khali, who gave her love advice. Quite funny.

(3) Alberto Del Rio & Ricardo Rodriguez beat World Hvt. champion Dolph Ziggler & Big E. Langston and Jack Swagger & Zeb Colter in a triple-threat tag match. Not sure how this will look on TV, but it started out as Ricardo vs. Colter, then Swagger interfered, so Teddy Long ordered a tag match. Del Rio was then about to pin Swagger when Big E. interfered from commentary. So, Long ordered a triple threat tag match, which ended with Del Rio submitting Ziggler with the cross arm-breaker.

The Shield cut a promo backstage revealing an attack on Daniel Bryan.

(4) Randy Orton beat Damien Sandow with the RKO. Orton easily had the biggest pop of the evening.

Big Show then came out and called out Orton, saying his ego prevents him from being a team-player. Show said that at Extreme Rules, there will be nothing funny about what he does to him, suggesting a singles match.

Mark Henry beat Sheamus in an Arm Wrestling Challenge. Sheamus asked for another chance, so they locked up and Sheamus punched Henry, then hit the Brogue Kick. So, who is the heel in this feud?

(5) Dean Ambrose beat WWE tag champion Kane clean in the main event. Very physical match.

TV then ended with Shield holding the Tag Titles over a prone Kane.

After Smackdown ended, they went to a bonus dark match.

Dark Match: Sheamus & Randy Orton beat Marl Henry & Big Show. Henry took the Brogue Kick and RKO for the loss.

My comments (unless we decide to not give a damn about the spoilerishness of talking about it)
Curious to see the Ryback awkwardness

Oh, how the mighty Ryder has fallen, lol.
The people of Detroit are retarded if Orton is getting the biggest pop. WHY IS HE POPULAR? Ugh.
Also, hopefully Damien looked as strong as Cody did on Raw.

Poor DBry, at least he didn't take the pin Monday.

Officially will dl this and watch just for the Ambrose/Kane match.
I'm astounded that he went over Kane clean.

They live in Detroit voluntarily. How smart were you expecting them to be?

Kane loses all the time. He's a professional and Ambrose should have won.

Kane really is great. I hope he gets another run with the big title. He deserves it. Best big man ever.

Should and what actually happens are two different things.
I just am shocked when they don't shit on something in WWE that I like.

The last year or so really has changed my opinion on Kane.
I used to just think he was an albatross in any angle

Forgot to add in the original post (somewhat carrying over the discussion from April's thread).
But once again, Shamus, a face, is a sore loser and asshole.

Kane isn't the most popular guy with the fans, but that never stopped them before. He deserves a run.

The Team Hell No stuff is making him very popular again. I thought it was a mistake to have him do funny stuff since it wasn't too long after he returned as a monster heel again, but their work ahs been some of the best stuff in the company. If he pinned Cena for the title on Monday the crowd would go crazy for him.

I don't understand why they would do that. If anything, he should lose and then congratulate the heel, and then the heel kicks the shit out of him. At least, that's what I would do to make people want to see the good guy beat the bad guy and finally get the better of him at the PPV... Now you're going to have people wanting Mark Henry to beat the shit out of the babyface who can't handle a loss in two games that have nothing to with wrestling....

Next week on Raw, they play Monopoly and Mark Henry owns the blue properties and Shaemus lands on Park Place. He proceeds to act like he's going to pay him and instead grabs some brass knucks from his pocket and beats the shit out of Henry. The fans go wild. What a good guy.

Kane has always been one of my favorites, both as a wrestler and as a guy. He's a great spokesman for libertarianism and Austrian school economics too, which is a huge plus.

Kane won the wrestling charity game show thing Weakest Link. Second place? Bubba Ray.

WHAT?!

Dean Ambrose/Kane in a hardcore match could be spectacular.

If they add a fourth member, then the whole thing will be reduced to a rehash of either the nWo or the Nexus (depending on how far they go with membership expansion). Ambrose, Rollins, and Reigns are doing fine on their own. No one else fits.

& if they don't job the secondary champs the belts would mean something
& if they did not book Ziggler, ADR & Swagger as equal level jobbers that bely could be elevated
& if they treated the talented females better they would have a stronger Diva division

& ............... & ................... & ................ & ... & .. & ..

It is Vince, easy logic does not apply

I can't tell who would be a worse addition to the Shield: Dead-Eye Orton or Ryberg.

Goddammit. Knowing Vince, there's still a possibility of this quietly getting dropped. If they go through with it, though, then I'm just giving up hope. There will be almost nothing left to give a shit about.

The present day WWE fucks up at least 93% of everything it touches. It's pathetic what this company has become. They can't break their bad booking habits and it looks like they never will.

Man fuck. I was hoping you were just posting some dumb dirtsheet nonsense.
I don't do that

The website throws stuff like that out there though
The Orton thing has always been discussed & recently with Ryback not getting as over as they thought, it seems his name came up as well
The Shield is over so Vince wants to use that to get over other things & Randy & Ry are two of his favs

I would much rather it be Ryberg. If it were Orton, I don't think I could like them anymore

I will say in Ryberg's defense that he at least gives a shit, unlike Orton. Ryback never audibly asked his opponent what his line was while in the ring in front of a live audience on live TV.

That and he's actually been logical, consistent and has reasons for stuff lately.
Oh, you're hurt? Fuck you, I have a title match against you and *I'm* not getting left to get beat up again. Peace

"Ryback rules" is fucking terrible, but apart from that, his promos (apart from the staccato heavy breathing delivery) haven't been awful either of late.
