Washington, D.C. delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton left a voicemail for a lobbyist attempting to get money. Her intentions were clear in the voicemail that was released by the lobbyist. She wanted money and she thought she deserved to be included in contributions due to her seniority and the fact that other colleagues had been given donations by this lobbyist.

She's not like Jim Norton. She's not a sweet girl.

"I've noticed that you have given to other colleagues on the community. I am a senior member, 20 year veteran. I am handling the largest economic development in the United States.
We don't have a record of you giving me money. I should have asked for a contribution earlier. We need them, particularly those of us with seniority."

DAMN

I've watched enough C-SPAN to know that I hate this bitch. I would love to be outraged, but there is nothing wrong with asking for a campaign contribution. One of the number one issues with campaigning is that no one likes to ask for money. Anyone who has worked on a campaign will tell you that the mantra is "you have to ASK for donations".

The entitlement... the fucking entitlement. It just oozes out of her every pore and makes the fuzz on her tennis ball head all shiny.

You can take the girl out of the ghetto, but you can't take the givesmedat out of the girl.

A lesson I taught my wife years ago.

She was hired in a management position for a market chain.

I warned her about the schwoogs but she didn't listen.

Then she had to fire one for checking out friends and not
scanning all the food they were "buying".

Niggitude ensued and she was immediately called a racist.

There's a law office in Indianapolis called Schultz & Pogue. My wife does some case review stuff for them for med mal cases every once in a while. One of the partners took my wife and I out for dinner after a particularly big win on a case that my wife had to actually go into court and testify on.

The lawyer guy told a hilarious story about how the law office hired a black girl in her 20's to be their secretary... because diversity. He said she de-ghettofied herself and classed it up for her interview... and they hired her. But the Mmmm Hmm came back with a vengeance the minute she went to "work", and they sorely regretted the decision.

She was, of course, lazy, and useless, and chronically late, and she spent many hours of the day tending to her "personal bidness" via text and phone calls. They tolerated her for many months because they were too scared of the negro wrath to fire her. The final straw came when she gave up all pretense of professionalism and civilized behavior and she started answering the phone, "Shutz n' Pug, how may I hep' ya?"

They tried to instruct her on the proper pronunciation of the lawfirm's name... but Shenaynay would hear none of their racist insults, and she continued with the proper ebonical version in her greeting.

The partners all got together in a meeting and decided that the time had come... Shenaynay must be fired... but none of them had the balls to do it. 6 lawyers... senior partners... men who litigated and argued multi-million dollar lawsuits in courts of law for decades... terrified to confront a $9/hour secretary.

They finally made one of the junior partners fire her... and it got every bit as ugly as you'd imagine. Accusations of racism came fast and furious. She played the race card(shocker, huh?) and filed for unemployment benefits. The partners knew her claim was bullshit, but they didn't even fight it... just let her have it and considered it 'Shush yo mouf' money.

The firm went on to hire a white secretary who performs her duties professionally and competently... and, in private, the partners still jokingly refer to their firm as "Shutz n' Pug".

My dad was managing a factory and hired an inside salesman. Gave him a desk and a phone and a pencil and notepad. After six months, my dad fired him. The guy claimed Peruvian heritage and said Pa was a rassist. This was in the early 70s so cases weren't as slam dunk as they are now. The company had no choice but to investigate so Pa showed up with the sales records of Peru and the other 4 inside salesmen and showed they each had outsold him about 12 to 1. Case dismissed.

Racism, patriarchy, misunderstanding, or a right wing conspiracy- whatever the case, we can be sure Ms. Norton did nothing wrong.

The battle for an honest government was lost when we gave politicians power over the economy, not when we failed to get them to exercise it honorably.

There is no such thing as an honest centrally planned economy.
