Yeah, I need to buy one of those padded things you can put over the foam.

I'll probably also remove the Oculus headphones and just use my Sennheiser ear buds.

Budget Cuts is fun but needs more depth. Too many bland and redundant objects scattered about, but I can see how that fits the atmosphere and tone. It’s also easy to go around in circles as most environments look very similar. Adding achievements to how you complete levels would help as well (pure stealth or killing all sentries).

GORN is great, but I use the thumb sticks for movement so I wouldn’t shatter the ceiling fan or bust my knuckles on the walls while flailing around with various weapons.

I bought an Oculus Go. It’s not a gaming machine, more like a Gear setup without a phone. It’s more for viewing content. I did play some live poker in a virtual poker room. The NextVR app is impressive, but needs the NFL or some college football to watch on it. I really like the Netflix VR app. If I plug in my Bose noise canceling headphones, I can almost completely shut out the real world.

When they release the necessary wireless attachments that respond to what’s on the screen, VR porn will change the industry as much as VCRs did.

There’s room for improvement in resolution and more useful content, but overall I’m pretty happy with it, except that the battery life is shit. About 2 hours on a full charge.

No way to use it plugged in?

Done with Budget Cuts... for now. The credit sequence is great and the song sounds like something from a Bond film.

Adam is legitimately terrifying.

Also exhausted content with GORN. Devs will probably keep updating it.

If you’re trying to knock opponents out of the arena, try dragging the boulder or greathammer along the ground in front of you then release it upwards to vault the goons out.

Arizona Sunshine was a lot better than I expected. Haven’t played the DLC.

There are also some brilliant VR experiences that anyone can pickup and enjoy, like the virtual ISS Space Walk or Google Earth VR.

Waltz of the Wizard is a fun little free game, but the best free title I’ve seen so far is Rec Room.

GORN was updated and the whole pre-arena dungeon area was restyled completely with a new arena added. Each boss now has their own arena gauntlet of enemy waves culminating in a free-for-all prior to the boss appearing. It’s a better way to try out all of the weapons. You can also turn on ‘low violence’ mode to make it kid-friendly where the enemies look like piñatas- blood and gore are replaced by candy and confetti.

Waiting for the cooler weather to really dig into this shit, since this headset makes me sweat like a muh-fucker in this record summer heat wave we've been having here.
